I thought I really liked RK. I am not liking him more as each day passes. Frankly, though, I'm caring less each day that passes about the Sabres in general. Glad I exert no real emotional energy anymore in sports as a whole. Just don't relate much to it.

This starts at the top (ownership) and two straight bad GM's followed by a comfortable likeable GM. Follow that up with mediocre to bad coaching. Lastly we can then look at players who, in my mind, may be a symptom rather than the disease. Bad news is ownership is what it is . Bad possible news. Who with a proven resume wants to come here with the track record of the Pegula record of hires and fires. Frankly I think our owners are good people and good fans but are out of their league as owners. Have to hope they repeat a total lucky repeat of the Bills. What's the odds?

Question. Do the Pegulas even care anymore? I'm seriously questioning if they do.

Worrisome for sure. The league and other owners can't repair this and if other GM's and coaches are scared to come here then this is a real mess.

I've pretty much lost any real interest in this season. What a joke and meaningless endeavor.

This is why starting this season is all about money and devoid of common sense. Players get paid but this season is meaningless statistically.

My response meant high point for me was first ten years of the franchise. My "fandom" level was higher then then at any time since. For others it would very possibly be different. I will be 78 next month and age makes a difference.

Those early years were the most exciting for me.

NO!!!!!! Why should players lives be more important. Economy?? If they can't get through this how about the corner deli or the guy laid off down the street who's on food stamps.

McCabe and Risto are basically the only ones that have been around that long and Rhino. Nevertheless I'm leaning heavily towards ownership and who they hire. We're fortunate to have the total points we have and in this division we're going up against tough opposition for sure.

The players have changed. I'm looking back further maybe but we've changed players over the decade.

We could certainly rid some baggage but it's been so many years of this I think rather than look at rosters you have go ask about coaching we've had or not had and who is making the coaching decisions. This roster on paper is better than their records over some of these years. My opinion is we've not had a coach since Ruff that I've cared that much for.

Does anyone really care for player interviews? Why do they even have them? Not just Sabres but any sport. Much rather our owner and GM do interviews but don't expect that. Is Terry still our owner or did I miss something.
