I think the younger players are happy to be considered all stars and in awe of the older stars. The older guys would prefer a vacation but make the best of it by bringing family along. I barely watch it because it is not what I consider hockey, but I catch some of it due to the elite skills on display.

Yeah, this guy has caught my attention too. There is not a lot of hype about him, just that he is good at many things. He has left home at a young age to move to a foreign country to pursue his dream. He hasn’t been called up to the SHL but I suspect an import rule may prevent this from happening. The Sabres will have 2 late first round picks and this guy would add centre depth. Let him develop and he could blossom into the next Jochen Hecht. The Sabres had success with the last Austrian they drafted.

Pretty good stats going back to his time in the BCHL. Good size. I would take a chance, most of these become JAGs, but a few play 100+ games at a decent level.

Looking at the Leksands lineup he is the youngest forward, one other 18 year old. He is also puny, by pro hockey standards. Their staff will go with the more experienced pros in order to win their day to day games. I think he moving to the proper league in order to get ice time and be challenged to grow his body and his game. Look how long it took VO to develop. He was a 7th rounder but was physically similar.

I usually do not gamble but for the heck of it I am putting some money on the Sabres tonight. Not enough to drain Vegas if I win but it will keep me more interested.

If the Sabres get something else from Vegas for just taking on some cap, that will be a bonus from the Eichel deal in a roundabout way. The gift that keeps on giving.

I have been on the Levi train since the Reinhart trade. I don’t want to have sky high expectations but I think he will be a Buffalo Sabres goalie in the near future. This Olympics will be interesting to watch. He will be going against some pros for the first time. None of these guys are NHL calibre but there are many experienced pros. Two lines from the article that I love are, he’s been an underdog his whole life and that he’s the best teammate in the dressing room. Luongo fought to draft him and Montreal area NHLers that played summer hockey with him rave about his skill. Go Levi and Team Canada.

Transfer switch. Usually they are manually operated and you fire up the generator and plug it in. Automatic systems are expensive but they turn on immediately when supply is lost. The main brand in Ontario is called Generac and they can run on Propane, diesel, gas or natural gas.

With any generator setup, please remember to have a proper installation done according to the electrical code of your region. This protects you insurance wise in the event of a problem and protects the powerline workers from unwanted back feed. I know guys that have been seriously injured by improper generator installations.

MacKinnon is my favourite current player. I love hockey, so I watch all of the teams. I will probably cheer for the Avs in the playoffs because I feel better having a dog in the fight. It has been a while since my favourite player has been a Sabre (Hasek), but Dahlin is getting closer.

Today Zegras is the sexier pick, with more offense and highlight reel material. Zegras did best him head to head in the Gold medal game of the WJHC. As long as Cozens continues to develop the right way his numbers will be fine. Tough to measure things like leadership, physicality and others could make this a wash. Some day Dylan will ride in on his white horse and deliver some playoff magic. Zegras’ Spicoli vibe is perfect for California.

It is still early in these 3 goalies’ careers that we don’t know which will be the best. If they all become 1A or 1B calibre goalies then that is a good problem and one can become a tradable asset.
