  1. We still have no number two center. ?
  2. He played a healthy 82 games when he signed out of Europe with Chicago. He's been unlucky this year. They're just bitter. I love this move.
  3. Kahun is a fabulous young player, but he's not a center.
  4. The news, seems to have dried up, like the state I live in....Arizona.
  5. 31 year old on the back half of a heavy minutes career. If Simmonds is extended, I might puke. He's got no upside long term. We already have a mid 30's cap albatross in Okposo.
  6. A team in the bottom three, or a team six points out, close to home? Why is this some big accomplishment.
  7. We'll be drafting another center in this draft in the first round.
  8. Kevin Bieksa, and I'm paraphrasing said, "You show respect to Simmonds. And trade him to NOT BUFFALO."
  9. So perhaps Turris isn't the right player. It was an example of a player with term that has his warts but would be an upgrade. We can all disagree on the merits of my argument with him per say. However, waiting until unrestricted free agency guarantees nothing when we're a laughing stock around the league. When a former retired goon of a player on his first televised trade deadline day, makes a crack about Buffalo involving Simmonds. It shows some sort of merit of the frustration I'm coming from. I am in no way trying to disrespect other posters. But, we're putting square pegs in round holes. Botterill needs to go!
  10. So is watching Skinner on the third line making 9M, a former Canadian wonderkin on his list shot making draws on the second or third line. The fact that Larsson has been our second best center since we traded O'Reilly. Do I need to go on with what we've seen at the center ice position in the last year plus?
  11. I'm assuming a guy like Turris who has decent return, can be had for a slightly cheaper cost even possibly with some slight retention. I am that desperate for someone who can create. Haula would have been the ideal guy.
  12. You still can likely get someone who is an upgrade over what we have, which is literally NOTHING. Mittelstadt needs the year to get his mojo back, and work on his ability. That's fine, however, there have been way too many quick fixes on this god damned team.
  13. Keep Johansson, waive Hammond, buyout Hutton. Claim whomever is put on waivers for a roster spot this afternoon. Problem solved. Hutton is another cheap fix that didn't work. I was one who was hopeful when we got him on the cheap, but he is garbage.
  14. Acquire someone who can be more creative than a bust in Lazar playing off position and Johansson. Don't you see that we're not going anywhere with just Jack Eichel. Are you this inept to add a former good player who yes has more points than half of our roster, which says more about your pathetic excuse as a general manager than anything, when you WON'T SACK UP and acquire even someone semi competent down the middle.
  15. More proof to my stance. Get the ***** out of Buffalo, Jason Botterill.
  16. I hate this trade. Yes, I know the cost is minimal, but as spoken, it's three years too late. He's a terrible 5v5 player and honestly, we have two many wings dependent on strong center play that we don't ***** have. I'm tired of Botterill and I hope he's fired on Tuesday.
  17. Bye, seeya, whatever. You were terrible in the uniform, and hardly stayed on the ice. While I feel for you in terms of being a good locker room guy, your albatross of a contract overexposed any value you had.
  18. I think skill is just as important. You see the dead wood that we're still floating out there for what we call middle six forwards and I just cringe. Sheary, Frolik, Vesey, can easily all go. I'm torn on what to do with Johansson, because I feel like in the right situation he'd benefit getting out of the middle. So for now, he's safe. I'd also listen on Girgensons if he isn't coming back around a decent cap hit. The same goes for Evan Rodrigues. It's amazing that a year ago, it looked like he was a decent shot to at least be a third/fourth line center. DO NOT TRADE JOHAN LARSSON. Unless you get a 2nd and a prospect - which I doubt happens.
  19. This is definitely my sentiment exactly. Compher is a much more competent player. In addition, Jost's stick skill work is miles behind Mittelstadt, it's not a player I think is an upgrade.
  20. Give me the third back!
  21. I have a wager that he'll be traded by the deadline.
  22. Nothing in the presser was that shocking, and for a player who has been here since 2013-14, how wouldn't you want to see something change or want a different view of the ice. If the package was out there, I'm sure Botterill would look at it. A young NHL ready center of some type has to be the ask, one way or the other. Someone who might not be "ready" immediately, but could push. Who that centermen is, is beyond me.
  23. I'd trade for someone like Hintz and let him grow with the team, offering a decent package, but I'm not blowing up the future for a short term "risk". Look, there's no guarantee someone like even Couturier would push this team past the first round. So giving up: UPL, Lahksonen, Olofsson, Cozens, Joker, etc up for him....eh.
  24. 1: Dylan Cozens, C 2: Ukko Pekka Lukkonen, G 3: Victor Olofsson, RW 4: Henri Jokiharju, RD 5: Lawrence Pilut, LD 6: Oskari Laaksonen, RD 7: Rasmus Asplund, C/LW 8: Ryan Johnson, LD 9: Mattias Samuelsson, LD 10: CJ Smith, LW 11: Matej Pekar, C 12: Will Borgen, RD 13: Marcus Davidsson, C/LW 14: Arttu Ruotsalainen, C 15: Jacob Bryson, LD 16: Miska Kukkonen, RD 17: Linus Cronholm, LD 18: Linus Weissbach, RW 19: Aaron Huglen, RW 20: Lukas Rousek, RW That's what my own personal list is,. there are some possible slot changes. Tage Thompson, should not qualify as a prospect any longer should he? Between the games played this year and in St Louis. If he does I'd still have him just outside the top 8.
