Down a goal or needing one to win the entire team looks to Jack as the guy. And so does the opposition. Another player may step up, but the team never loses hope if Jack is on the ice in those situations. The opposition doesn't game plan for anyone else but Jack. He is the guy.

no he isn't. he has physical gifts and a cement head. Both Fasching and Baptiste are better players. I like the kid and the hometown angle but he is not the best of the three. Baptiste, Fasching Bailey.

Sam is also one of his predecessor's "guys." If what we saw today from CM is an indication of the future, and I'm cautious in that claim, GM Bobblehead might be reluctant to commit long term to a winger if he feels his center of the future is a year or two away.
