  3. #24 You can water your lawn, fill the pool and wash the dog three times if you like. Can't do that in SJ
  4. Valid defense. But he disappeared in the medal round at the WJC, and was somewhat invisible against Providence. Want to see the play raised when the stakes go up. I am stoked he is coming here, so this is not a knock, just an area for improvement.

  6. Jimmie Rodgers, no kidding? That is some good genes.
  7. The greatest thing about that show is they were all sitting on stage stools and would talk between songs about Howlin Wolf, Robert Johnson and others and then would go "did you see the Wolf at Shirley's in 57? Smoke stack like ive never heard adn then they would rip into it. Incredible evening. +1. Great show at the Vic here a couple of years ago. Now he sells out much bigger venues. Sonny Landreth is another top notch player. A must see.
  8. Saw BB, Buddy and George Benson togethor at Buddy's Legends here in Chicago. Like watching three virtuosos at a backyard Bbq. Rest in peace. Eric Clapton is pretty good.
  9. Farging Bastage Kings take Sean Monahan
  10. The Holland Tulip insight is poignant. I am of a different opinion that a good hockey mind, that understands his roster's strengths and weaknesses, that can hire assistants that can teach and develop players, and above all can be patient enough to live with the foibles inexperienced players may bring is what we need at the moment. If the plan is to draft, develop and pursue the FA to put you over the top , then I don't see either as the perfect fit right now. Would I be happy with either? Sure, but TM is cooking this stew and still has it on a slow burn. I feel this the right approach. I wouldn't be upset if they took the Flames approach, or the Sens and find a guy to help season the young prospects and emerging leaders. Richardson and Boestra might even be good hires for the team as it currently stands. I would rather have a great GM molding the personnel profile of an organization and working collaboratively with the coach and player development staff to build an identity than chasing after the prospect of a dominant personality's past glory. GMTM may not be great but has the potential to be a Holland type. YMMV.
  11. May I suggest a compromise. Pick a core of six players. Those that will be supplemented with the rest of a roster. Ex Chicago has Toews, Kane, Keith, Hossa, Seabrooke ....Saad? Crawford? That might make it interesting
  12. Domi belongs to AZ 3 thirds comp for Babcock. http://www.nhl.com/ice/m_news.htm?id=766946
  13. Toews Stamkos Tavares Keith OEL Kane Crosby OVI Getzlaf Doughty
  14. Dude, online poker, hangin with friends, porn. Jiminy, don't subject yourself to that, just to kill time.
  15. Me too. Went to Game 1 of Hawks Wild and was thinking how long it will take until the Sabres can generate that kind of excitement. Just jonesin I guess.
  16. The best part of that clip is the pose Rinne has after the release. It said to me he knew it was wide or in, but I can't do anything about it. I will resrve judgement until the Russia game. Early indications are the game is not too big for him.
  17. I think that is to be expected of a natural center, unfamiliar/rusty with the position and new players' tendencies. I cant watch but would be looking for his ability to hold the puck against faster, stronger competition.
