Are opposing goalies using the Force on the Sabres Shooters? You will shoot the puck into my crest.

And an inspired powerplay to start the period!

Well... if they don't score on this powerplay to start the 3rd, there's very likely little reason to watch the remainder of the game. Not a lot of spark today. No hits. No aggressive drives to the net. Lots of sloppy passes and easily given away pucks. If they don't get it within 1 in a hurry, then it's nap time.

Our odd-man rushes don't even lead to a shot. Theirs lead to caroms directly to the tape of stick in the slot. In my experience there's no such thing as luck.

Got a turkey sandwich and a side plate of the usual fixings. Some good looks on the powerplay, but Okposo too patient.

This game should never have gotten to overtime. Howard was very good but didn't make otherworldly saves. Instead we hit posts and missed nets and played to get to overtime in the third.
Can't give away points like this.
And with that... a happy Thanksgiving to you all. Let's hope that we're soon thankful for a nearly fully healthy roster.

When we're healthy Zemgus is probably going to be scratched.
Eichel for Zemgus; Kulikov for Falk. That'll be a drastic improvement bringing the puck up ice.

Very disappointing. Half a dozen excellent turnover chances in the first period alone and nothing to show for it. One nice stretch pass a fantastic assist by Vanek and we're down.

You're right! If Luke=Eichel, then Samson=Leia. They're the twin #2 picks of the union of GMTM and Darcy.
Samson -- one of the major leaders of the rebellion, defiant of tyranny, badass with a blaster. Force-sensitive and crafty.

If we're going with Jack in the Luke role... Then, following the level of ZFG-ness, then Vader is GMTM. And by extension, the precursor to that would make Darcy the Padme Amidala.
Logically, because Jack lived with Moulson last season and Moulson was horribly destroyed -- Moulson is Owen Lars. Note: Uncle Owen re-spawned this year in his younger form, pre-quel style.
Now Jack is rooming with Samson. This makes Samson either a) Obi-Wan or more likely, b) Han Solo.
Annnnnnnd... I'd better stop now before I nerd out and assign everyone in the organization a corresponding Star Wars character.

Carrier is becoming good, and quickly.

The Moulson is strong in this one.
I can now see why Calgary has one of the worst PKs in the league. They've been rattled. Keep it up! Because we know... yes, there it is... the ... no! It's another Calgary penalty. They have gone up in... flames.
You know what I really like about Fedun? You know how Risto waits behind our net on the power play? He kills maybe 3-5 seconds each time? Fedun gets the puck and legs it up ice. Every time (either on the PP or even strength). Risto needs to learn this. Attack!

Kane should have finished Crosby there. Just my opinion. The Dark Side is strong tonight, apparently. Disappointing in no response to avenge Foligno.

Given how this team plays three games out of four, I don't envy Eichel the pressure and scrutiny he'll be under to turn it all around.
