  1. A long time. Of course, the Sabres haven’t been relevant in a long time.
  2. True. They're not moving him... Well... I mean... at this rate it's going to be a top-5 pick. Jarvis could be great, but a top-5 and a veteran to help in the playoffs... (Also -- as of this morning, the Sabres are officially last in the league based on P%. They have some games in hand on Detroit, but. Yeah. Just a but.)
  3. With the exception of Skinner, they should at least care about their trade value or UFA market value and what other teams might look for in a player. The response to Cozens was there. Tepid, but there. But nothing for Dahlin.
  4. This goes back multiple years now: Why doesn't this team have Dahlin's back? Is he just a total unhumble bumble? Sure, he needs to stick up more for himself. But he's still a teammate. Don't they have any respect for the guy?
  5. Not so. Time for my obligatory "worldwide leader in sports --- which now has NHL broadcast rights for years!" reminder that Dalton Smith still is a Sabre over at ESPN https://www.espn.com/nhl/team/roster/_/name/buf/buffalo-sabres
  6. You know... we had a very quick response by Tage to tie it at 1-1. And Victor buried an ES goal to tie it at 2. I never once thought we'd take the lead in this game. I guess this is it. If Cozens misses time from that hit, or if Dahlin's knee now is wonky and we've done nothing to defend him on multiple occasions --- I'll have reached the point of hopelessness. It's the (WOT reference) "last that could be done" point. Of course, that's not the bottom. That's just the last barrier/line in the sand that is crossed and things just get worse from there. We're hanging on an antenna underneath Bespin, TPeg. Missing a hand. And crying out for help and hope before we plummet.
  7. Sure, but he's improved his numbers every season. There will be a team out there that likes him and has a solid backup in case his injury history continues. On a good all-around team he'd look really nice. Another fan base will get to listen to Linus & Lucy after a great save and the fans will all smile.
  8. GM Sheevyn claims he has the power to make a change. So I guess he's OK with this.
  9. Come, Patsy. (We're all Patsy.)
  10. He did that several games ago. Mitts was rushing up the ice with maybe 7 seconds left in the period. Had space, had speed, and then dumped and cut to the bench. The bench isn't watching the clock. That's coaching.
  11. Nahhh. No need to send a message because we won't see this team again for... wait, what? We play them next game, too? And six more times after that?!?
  12. Hall picked up a misconduct?
  13. Why would Ullmark re-sign here?
  14. ERod tried to check Ristolainen. That went as expected.
  15. He's a perfect post-2010 Sabre.
  16. Accountability starts at the top. Miller's fight standing up for Cozens just punched his ticket out of town in a trade. The PP hasn't scored in 7 games. They need this one.
  17. But let's go destroy Ruhwedel anyway. HCRK isn't watching the games.
  18. Bloody hell! Knee on knee to Rasmus the Younger.
  19. Mitts up with Reino and Hall.
  20. Losing Cozens is going to deflate this bench, I fear.
  21. Ooof. Walked right through us. Shot right through JJ.
  22. Damn. Hope Cozens shakes that off.
