Yes, when healthy I'd say he'd be the 1C on 15 teams in the league. Or at least, he'd be getting the most PP time + EV time as center. There are some centers who'd get more time because they'd also be a primary PK in addition to some PP time.
They scored 7 against MTL, 4 against CHI, 7 against NJD (after trailing 6-2), 5 against BUF, and 7 against TOR (after trailing 5-1). All FLA wins. These are their last 5 games.
I think Florida will pick it up a bit.
Sad, but true. But if he learns that he can plaster someone on occasion, and the opponents learn that he will... it's one more option in his arsenal. Because the skating and reach and defensive IQ will allow him cover all manner of other rushes/entries. But that occasional pop without going hunting/looking for it would be very helpful.
The dreaded two-goal lead. Only one thing to do... score 8 more.
To be fair, HCKrueger wasn't the first coach to drop Skinner way down his lineup. He simply did it to the detriment of the player and the team and threw all desire to score goals out the window.
Not at all. I know he doesn't have Muel's edge or bluntness to his game right now. Power will pinch/position the guy out of the way. But if he can learn that he is big (and gets stronger) and learns that he can occasionally throw his full Power into a guy, then he'll become very good.
For example, nowadays Tyler Myers occasionally does use his size/weight like that with Vancouver. It's not frequent enough, but he can do it. I view Power as Myers but ratcheted up a few notches in all ways. And if he can embrace his anger a few times a game... that's where I want him. I know he'll never be a big nasty guy.
Samuelsson plastered his man into the corner to end a Panthers possession. If Power learns this with his size while still keeping his offensive skills, we'll have a really solid player.
Well, that was easy.
