Probably figured it was better to just let the clock keep running than do a faceoff with a couple seconds left. -
Damn Millennial.
-
I have no reason to hate the Phillies other than they're from Philly. And, to be honest, that's good enough for me.

3 way ties get sticky, so it's not an ironclad 2-game lead, but it's pretty dang close. Not only that, but if you look at the standings, the Bills have a head-to-head victory over every current AFC division leader. Now that's a statement.
-
It's fair because Buffalo can host the following 3 years.
-
Doesn't change the fact that the NFL scheduling is fair everywhere outside of the 17th game.
-
The system is working fine to me.

Regardless of who takes game 5, I hope the winner sweeps the Astros.
-
I wish you were right, but alas, game 5 is on.
-
To be fair, it was 16 seconds this time. They were clearly only prepared for 13 or fewer seconds.
-
5 singles in the bottom of the 9th to score 3 and win, Cleveland up 2 games to 1. Go Guards!
-
Tre White is practicing again. He won't play against the Chiefs and the week after is a bye, so the Packers game looks likely.
-
Down with the Yankees!
-
If the Bills had gone for 2 with 13 seconds left, they might be reigning champions right now.

Woo, Cleveland takes game one 2-1! Granted, Tampa was the best possible team they could have faced in the wild card, but they've exceeded my expectations this season. Youngest team in baseball, 3rd smallest payroll, second fewest home runs in the entire league, supposed to be a rebuilding year, yet here they are with two chances to move onto the ALDS against the Yankees.
-
But Judge doing it this year, specifically, means that Marris' 61 in '61 stood for 61 years.
-
Jimmie Foxx hit 58 for Boston in 1932, Hank Greenberg hit 58 for Detroit in 1938, and McGwire hit 34 of his 58 home runs in 1997 for Oakland. Side note: Giancarlo Stanton hit 59 for the Marlins in 2017. That offseason, Derek Jeter (who had just become part owner of the Marlins) traded him to, of course, the Yankees.
-
If it makes you feel better, Judge himself says the real record is 73. I'll be over here enjoying history being made, even if it is a Yankee.

Cleveland helping out with a 2-1 win over Tampa.

I decided to check, because that's a good question. Their first home afternoon games: 2021 - October 16 (12:00) 2020 - December 19 (3:30) 2019 - October 5 (12:00) 2018 - October 13 (3:30) 2017 - October 14 (3:30) 2016 - November 19 (1:00) 2015 - September 19 (3:30) 2014 - N/A 2013 - October 12 (3:30) 2012 - November 17 (3:30) So in the last 10 seasons, they've had exactly 1 home afternoon game in September, 7 years ago (and no afternoon games yet this year).

I think it's more apt to say we need our line to get to the QB more than usual. It'll go a long way to balance the inexperience in the secondary.

I assume they found it more useful for their specific craft, since lead has about half a billion definitions. -

It's anything but archaic. Journalists took the word 'lead' and changed it to 'lede' in 1947.
