I know everybody has been feeling down a little bit lately because McDavid has 9-15-24 in 20 games so far, but consider this: in the 20 games he played from December 15th to February 3rd, Jack Eichel put up 7-14-21. Both the Sabres and the Oilers were 8-11-1 in the 20 games McEichel played in. That's 29-57-86 in 82 games for Eichel and 37-62-99 in 82 games for McDavid. Still a step above but nice to see our guy can put up big numbers in a 20-game spurt, too. We'll see if McDavid can sustain this over the rest of the year, though.

I love the outdoor games, but they need to keep the teams fresh. Or AT LEAST the matchups. The Wings and Leafs AGAIN?

So he went from saying he's been told McKenzie has a good 'lay of the land' in saying that Buffalo would be Stamkos' first choice in free agency to saying "it's not out of the realm of possibility." Then, as mediocre public figures often do, he kept quote tweeting some Toronto fan who was clearly a bit of a fool himself and tore him apart for thinking that Wawrow was reporting that McKenzie knew what he was talking about. Essentially bullied the guy into backing down. Wawrow, if you're reading this: why must you be such a dick? The right move here would've been to admit that his first tweet was poorly worded because, at the very least, it was. Either that or he was blowing smoke and knows nothing.

John Wawrow is making a complete fool of himself on twitter right now... As usual. What are our local reporters such dickheads? Seriously... It's old.

John Wawrow is saying McKenzie's comments prompted a discussion between him and another person who gave him reason to believe McKenzie's comments are accurate.

I'm not worried about his leg. I was worried about his mental state after he made comments about possibly never feeling right about his leg again, but he put up 43 goals last year. I think he's having a down year because all of Tampa is having a down year. I think the dynamic there is miserable.

Stamkos was injured on November 11, 2013. Since then he has 75 goals in 155 games. That's 40 goals over 82 games. Prior to the injury he had 222 goals in 390 games. That's 47 goals over 82 games.

Also, Justin Bailey's assist was taken away.
