  1. I bought a 2-year subscription a while back and have enjoyed it.
  2. I'm trying to get my wife to let me go for the full Jesus look. Hey, it's still a mid life crisis but doesn't cost anything near a Corvette.
  3. Took 2 loads of groceries up a flight of stairs. I'm exhausted. Thank goodness one of the loads I brought up had a six pack of beer.
  4. Haven't been to these places in the last 4 months (at least): Hair cutter Dentist Optician I'm a mess!
  5. How this band is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is beyond me. And RIP Brad Delp.
  6. Similarly, when I'm on the highway with cruise control on, I pass the car ahead of me, and then they pass me and slow down so I have to pass them AGAIN. Lather, rinse, repeat.
  7. That's impressive. Sitting on my balcony, I run into my apartment at the first clap of thunder.
  8. My take is that they're desperate. The gas industry made them rich. They won't go broke, but it makes me feel that they realize they're way over they heads in the sports ownership business..
  9. Too funny, and I can tell you played. It's one of those eye roll moments where you're like, "This is not going to end well and I hope I survive!" Don't turn the puck over and wait for help, my ass.
  10. Having played since 1971, I may be behind the times. But in my day, it wasn't the tenacious guys that were hard to play against. They were pesky and challenging. But I was a defenseman. And being chased into the corner with a forward 20 pounds heavier than me and nailing me into the boards. THAT was being tough to play against. I remember more than once, after the game was over and we were in the handshake line, I'd see the guy that was nailing me time and time again, and we'd both say, F"*ck You", and both burst out laughing. What a great sport!
  11. Risto always took on the big ones like Ovechkin. It sent a message. I'm not saying fighting, but sending a message we won't be f*cked with matters. Who else will do that if Risto is traded? And "hard to play against" in my day, and I think in today's date, is getting your ass kicked if you do take liberties on you or your teammates. Feel free to "OK Boomer on this."
  12. I agree @Curt. That is if they both make the team, and are not injured or traded.
  13. I'll buy that. But if we get rid of the only fake tough guy, what's left?
  14. I agree that Joki has more value than Risto, but If we trade Risto, this soft team becomes even more soft. I think JBOT thought, "We need speed and skill", which is fine. But our toughness, and hard to play against is not existent. They even had to bring that one kid up from Rochester for the Tampa game just in case. Borgen won't fix that even if he is ready for the NHL. Who is going to protect Jack, Dahlin, Victor, Sam, Skinner, Joki? The game has changed, but there still needs to be a deterrent to take liberties.
  15. Had a hound pup once. The funniest moments were when he stepped on his own ears when running and flipped ass over tea kettle. Then he'd look at me like, "What the heck happened there?'"
  16. Homemade New England* clam chowder, a fresh hard roll and 3 ice cold Labatt's (which is hard to get in Nebraska). I'm full, satisfied, and a bit waxed. What a great Sunday!
  17. Another millionaire that is desperate to try to stay relevant.
  18. Really, Jeremy? https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/jeremy-roenick-sues-nbc-sports-224414977.html
  19. I've loved the Sabres since 1970. But, I'm getting concerned that the Pegula's don't understand what it is to be a Sabres fan. It's not that hard. A hard working team that brings it every night. That sticks up for each other. That leaves everything they have on the ice. That will to win. Grit. Determination. Fight. Sacrifice.. If they gave all this, I could tolerate the losses. But I want teams coming it to play in the KBC to say, "*****, this is gonna be a tough night.'
  20. I never thought that as a 20 year old. I was balls out all the time.
  21. I really don't what to say. On one hand, I want everyone to stay safe. On the other hand, I want to say "live life". I'm sad for the youths trying to figure this out. I remember, in my 20's, I was INVINCIBLE.
  22. If I had my scent gland removed earlier in life, I may have done much better with the ladies.
  23. I don't disagree with any of their recommendations. I'm just sad that it has come to this point. Being a UB grad, it seems like the college experience is being diminished.
