  1. gary lawless ‏garylawless 1m1 minute ago hearing the deal being framed between #nhljets and #sabres is multi-player on both ends. So E Kane and more from Winnipeg
  2. Not read every comment here but people seem to think it'd be Myers + for Kane, however I think it'd be the opposite; Myers would beast it in the Peg where he wouldn't have the pressure of being the main man and could focus on his own game, while Kane's value is at an all-time low and while I also think he'd be a lot better in Buffalo than in Winnipeg, there's still a lot more question marks over Kane's head than there is Myers. Plus I don't think WPG would do Kane for Myers straight up as they're losing a winger and gaining another defender, where it's known Byfuglien will be playing full-time next year. Would something like Kane + one of their roster defenders (Harrison/Stuart/Clitty) work for Myers plus one of our UFA wingers in Stewart or Stafford? Or would you want to up it a bit and include Enstrom, which would mean sending more back their way, maybe NYI's or STL's first as well as Stafford?
  3. I hate the dump 'n' chase - except we're not chasing it. Retain the puck. I'd rather lose by 10 and see us attempt to play good hockey, than lose by 3 and just clear the puck every time we get it.
  4. 8pm start for me, which is ace.
  5. Wish they'd broadcast it on their app like some of the other teams do. Looking forward to this, anyway. 6. Dont know if this is just certain beers, or there's a specific beer topic I have to stick to but... Heineken fresh from Dam is absolutely beautiful.
  7. Can't say I've seen much of him as I haven't been able to watch any games - but from all the interviews I've seen, it seems to me that he just doesn't look too bothered about being here. I obviously could be wrong and it's not a massive sample size I agree, but compared to some of the other prospects I've seen - namely Bennett and Ehlers, they both seem delighted every time they're infront of a camera. Anyway, feel free to correct me. On to the 'what to do'... Not everyone's the same. He was drafted with a huge spotlight on him, and some people take longer to adjust to that than others. A year or 2 in the juniors should do him fine. Just because his draft position was high, doesn't mean he should be thrown out there if he's not ready.
  8. I hope he makes it. After a torrid season last season in regards to the press and attitude etc, I'm just glad he's got his head screwed on. Hope that doesn't all regress if he doesn't get picked for the big show though, and is sent down to Rochester for a year. Would rather see Grigs up than Reinhart - providing of course Grig earns it and Reinhart needs another year in Juniors. Sam would make us a lot better which is what we don't need at the moment. The organisation would benefit from this, more so than if Sam stayed up and Grig was sent down.

    @AIDS that's me no lie!
  12. Don't leave me out on your big plans to make a trip over! All we need is someone on this forum to own some sort of mansion. And British beer is amazing! how dare you :(
  13. your son deserves a golden globe
  14. @ shrader lol! no I've used it all my life, perhaps the American in me :P @ everyone else pretty cool stories guys, if anyone fancies letting me stay at their house, it would help me out as saving for Sabres tickets and plane rides & spendo is pretty tough :P
  15. lol! Love those movies, the second one wasn't as good though. And yeah, minus points to you for picking them I'm afraid :P Ah well if that chance arises again, hit me up! And erm, well I was born in Vancouver to parents that were mixed American Canadian English and then a bit of other stuff, but I have a big family that are all over Canada/The States so I've always been influenced by American Sports. Moved to Chicago when I was about 3, then came over here when I was 5 or 6, so I've been here most of my life, although I'm only 19 so it's not been a long one, lol. LOL! why not? Swedish people are epic, and the girls are hot. Although I think that's just the rule for all Scandinavian girls... Scandinavian Girl = hot Nice, how did you get involved specifically with the Sabres? One of the best hockey games on the market, ever. That's pretty cool how you just picked one and went with it though, and been a loyal fan ever since. And getting the chance to watch them, that's wicked. Did you go to Berlin to specifically watch the game? And yeah haha, I want to make the trip over to watch a Sabres game eventually. *epic post, I apologise*
  16. That's pretty cool man, I'm guessing you're not too old then, haha. Any ties to the Sabres at all? American relatives? and do you know of any other people that follow the Sabres, either on here or not?
  17. :o Oxford?! That's pretty damn rad. Are you fully English? Or American who moved over, haha
  18. That's pretty rad! I know it's an international sport but it's not so popular in countries where Ice isn't really easy accessible, or other sports take priority, such as England. But I understand about following players from your country, but again that only seems to be from countries where they do play decent level hockey, such as Finland and Germany. Is it rare for people to just pick a random team and go with it? But then again, it's not as if there's a lot of players from Britain playing in the NHL, haha! And yeah, it'd be a dream for me to find a fellow Sabre fan from here and find a late-night hockey pub somewhere and go for a drink!
  19. @ LaFontaine that's pretty rad! Are you fully Norwegian or were you born to American parents? @ sabres13 most of my life! I was born in Canada in Vancouver (no ties to the nucks!) and basically ended up here while I was still young. and they're not my fav NHL team... yet! I like hte Flames and the Jets, but just kinda stumbled upon the Sabres as I've heard the fanbase is good and.. I dunno, sometimes you just fall for some teams lol. and the jerseys played a big part in it for me :P
  20. Not sure if this is the place to start this thread, but I've seen other non-related hockey threads here so.. :P As the title says really, pretty self explanatory. I myself live in England, so I was wondering if there's any other people on here or if anyone knows of any Sabres fans that are from beyond the shores of the US (and Canada?)? Anyway, er.. thanks Sam
