Hope we pursue Ramo from Calgary - guy's a better keeper than Hiller but for some reason they're letting him walk Also Frolik, but I think he'll be a hot topic around the league. Many RFA's I'd go after (Zibanejad, Silfverberg, Huberdeau etc) but they're all pipedreams

I know it's not really that interesting as I'm not posting a whole line-up but, I hope we take a run at Karri Ramo. UFA and looks like he probably won't be re-signed by the Flames as - bizzarely - they prefer Hiller and have Ortio on a 1-way deal next season.

I've mentioned this before, not sure whether on here or on Twitter but, I think it's funny how Buffalo fans are looking towards what they can get next, without appreciating what we have now (ala Oilers); if you look at the comparisons between Reinhart and Bennett (Calgary's pick), they can't stop ranting and raving about him, whereas the majority of Buffalo fans I speak to seem to have forgotten that Reinhart exists. a 1-2 Center punch of Reinhart and Girgensons for years to come is pretty scary. Don't get me wrong, I want McDavid for Buffalo. I'm delighted when we lose, and annoyed when we grind out a W. But lets not forget what we already have before being upset whether or not we manage to draft McDavid or Eichel. (This is also kind of a reply to those saying that they're worried about the pressure on building around McDavid, when we already have skilled centers in the system - so it's not as if he'd be all alone if we theoretically got him)

I woke up annoyed when I checked my phone and found out that we beat Boston the other night. It's got to that point. Oh and I definitely don't think we'll draft McDavid, or Eichel for that matter. Leafs will pick #1 and EDM #2.

Watched the first 2 periods last night, and I found it weird how I was annoyed when we scored - and weirder when I was delighted when I woke up to discover we lost. Don't like the feeling of cheering for a loss, at all. But we know the prize, and that's got to remain the aim. After this season, the offensive skill on show will be crazy. It'll have to be carefully maintained though, otherwise with too many rookies, we'll become Edmonton. Still, I have my doubts that we'll even get the top-2...

Made the mother of all desserts a few months back - basically consisted of; 2 Stroopwafels (heated) - one whole and another crushed up (Stroopwafels are basically these Dutch caramelised-waffles that I discovered a few years ago in Amsterdam, and now they're everywhere over here [England]) Ice Cream - any flavour Hot chocolate sauce and surprisingly... a slide of battenberg all kinda crushed up. I mean, this thing probably gave me diabetes, but I don't even care. Some useful substitutes; Can use custard, normal cream or maple syrup instead of the chocolate sauce or ice cream. Use a normal waffle and one Stroppwafel instead of 2 Stroops (having the Stroops is really important, as you can tell) And once you've got your basic pudding, just decorate it with whatever the hell you want; I crushed up some Cadbury Flakes and sprinkled them all over. For the record: yes, I am a grown Male. I was making this with my very young cousin, but I definitely had more fun than she did.

I believe Kane will be a rejuvinated player come next season. He hasn't wanted to be in Winnipeg since the Thrashers moved there, and a lot of the stories we hear is simply Kane being made a scapegoat by the Winnipeg media. Think he'll have a lot of you surprised. PLUS, Myers has a NMC/NTC that kicks in next season...

There's a lot of if's and but's, but I think it's pretty fair considering both organisation's objectives. Woulda been more even with the Burmi rights, though.

I mean, it could end up being an overpayment on Buffalo's part. I don't know much about Lemieux, but Armia is supposedly very good, and Stafford is good (and if they can get him to re-sign then even better), and Myers is better than Bogosian, WITH the first-round pick? BUF are basically hoping that Kane starts firing on all cylinders, and Bogo somehow turns it around.

It is. Even if we give up Myers, there's kinda a general acceptance around the place that nobody would really be bothered if he went. And the prospect of having Kane firing on a line with McEichel next year is just mouthwateringly frightening. There is not a chance in hell the Jets trade Trouba, as he's insanely better than Bogosian at the minute. Peggers don't rate Bogosian very high, and he certainly isn't better than Trouba.

Kane is a supreme penalty killer. Anyway, that's what I proposed in my last post on the last page; it'd be something like Kane + Postma/Clitty for Myers + Stewart, or something.
