I look forward to our fans demanding players be traded for not saying they love playing losing hockey with Buffalo. No doubt many fans will have a measured response

The rumour was the Sabres wanted 4 firsts. Chytil (2017), Lundqvist (2018), Schneider (2020) and 2021 hit this - and Buchnevich hits a fifth one (as in you would trade a first for him) to top up for the fact a few of the firsts are weaker than one may like. Like it or not - I think this is probably the most realistic trade.

They key is to not negotiate during the season, thus giving you a shorter window to get it done

I miss him playing for the Sabres. First player I fell in love with. What he brought for the sabres was exemplary. I hope we honour his commitment and achievements

I don't know how good they are at assistant coaches - but it would seem mad for NHL franchises with young players not to have dedicated development coaches (unless it brings too many cooks or something)

Impressive what he has achieved whilst playing injured. And not a surgery that will likely have an impact going forward I don’t think Eichel was draft eligible when we drafted Quinn

Lidstrom and Bergeron are two people who wore an A admirably for a long period when they could have been captain. Eichel won't be stripped of the C - especially when you're trying to assure him the 7th time really is the charm

Staal has one goal, no assists and is a -8 in his eight games with the Habs. Their fans are calling for him to be scratched and describe his play as listless and coasting. Well done Adams.

I much prefer sports teams social media to be interesting and fun. Far too many take a boring corporate attitude. Give me Gritty and give me chaos. It's meant to be entertaining

I'm enjoying Casey's recovery into a good player. But man Cozens is something else - he feels like he will be the beating heart of this team for years to come.

I'm sure the Rangers will enjoy that. And we can probably enjoy Strome and a second

Sabres fans: 'I hate that this team has a losing culture. It needs to change' Also Sabres fans: 'I wish this team would stop winning, it's damaging our draft odds'

Fun game to watch - which is mostly what I care about. good battle by the sabres

This and the Philly game give me hope for the future of this team. Feels like a spirit is slowly being forged into them

Dahlin makes some lovely plays. He is a player who you need a coach to just let him play by instinct
