  1. High limit for Kahun. Probably puts his price at 3-3.2 for 2 years
  2. I expect today to be a blood bath. With the Sens likely jumping us through trades
  3. Sign Kahun. Sign Wennberg. Sign Reinhart. Sign Pysyk
  4. I am glad he is back. Girgensons os pretty low on the list of problems the Sabres have had for the last 6 years. Its a couple hundred thousand more than I’d like. But he was due to be a UFA and we have no prospect ready to replace him.
  5. 50 points is a first line player I believe (is top 30 for their position.) Kahun was on track for 45.
  6. The Sabres front office don’t get the benefit of the doubt on their moves anymore. At least not from me. There are only a couple of them out there though
  7. Don’t get me wrong. I hope you are right and he tries the market and sees no shift and comes back for a 3/4 year contract around the $10 million mark. but you only need one team to offer him a one year deal (he is good friends with Drai in Edmonton) and we have to find a 2RW and 3RW on the market
  8. That’s not really relevant. As we need to pay someone to replace him. What UFA will play for $3 million and put up 45 or more points?
  9. If we have an internal cap, then we have cut money from our NHL team to massively over fund the AHL
  10. This really only works if you already have Sam and Killeen. At the moment we have Okposo playing alongside Jack. If we sign Sam, Okposo is playing next to Staal
  11. He was on track for 45 points. Do people really not value that? Is he currently the third most productive UFA on the market
  12. I believe there are three UFA who put up better points per game than Kahun
  13. How much should you pay a defensively sound 45 point player who can play all the forward positions?
  14. Kahun put up 45 points and has decent defensive metrics. Surely he is worth $2.5 - 3 million for a few years
  15. When is the next time Adams will be available to explain this decision?
  16. I'm glad we cut our second line RW to put the money towards Johansson
  17. Button really likes Quinn. He had him pegged at 7th overall I think
  18. Damn. Wouldnt have minded doing that ourselves
  19. Analytics should inform decision making, not drive it
  20. Correct. Although the point of the comment could be that he played against teams second lines due to Rossi playing the top line
  21. Eichel - Reinhart - Olofosson Dahlin - Quinn Pretty good powerplay options at least
  22. Muscles / conditioning is the easiest thing for a team to work on with a player. Skating to me seems to be also up there as a fixable trait - you only need to get it to average for the rest of their skill set to excel
  23. Steve Ott, Adam Mair, Matt Ellis, Mark Weber all worked really hard too. If you can get your Pasta or Stone on Eichel's wing. That's better than a Bozak in 2C.
