  1. My guess is they really want Bailey developing his offensive game, which he'd be unlikely to get a real chance to do here, whereas Fasching fits nicely on a bottom line (...but I still want him working on his offense).
  2. I want Fasching to be getting big minutes in Rochester rather than 4th line minutes in the NHL.
  3. Murray has to purge the roster of all plugs to save Bylsma from himself. He's looked quite good.
  4. I just think Provorov so clearly has better offensive hockey sense that I have a hard time believing he won't be a more impactful pro.
  5. I've spent so much time complaining about no penalties being called, I can't bring myself to complain about penalties being called, even if the call is bad.
  6. *raises hand* I liked him more than Hanifin. *uses raised hand to pat self on back* :D
  7. Yea, the savings over burying him in Rochester was a little over a million for this year and next, and like 200k two years from now when we might actually need the money...for the cost of 2 more years of ~1 mil cap hit. Not worth it at all.
  8. Good. F them too!
  9. Paging Smell: believers in the Eichel Ewing Theory! :p
  10. Good. F 'em.
  11. No. Buying out his contract is next to useless with respect to the cap.
  12. Maybe he plays well enough to actually get taken in the expansion draft without much bribery from us!
  13. Don't sweat minor fluctuations. For instance: Randy Renstrom ‏@RandyRenstrom 15m15 minutes ago Trump average on @pollsterpolls today: 41.4% Trump average on May 3, the day he won the Indiana primary and clinched GOP nomination: 41.3%
  14. Ewing Theory: Calvin Johnson edition *ducks*
  15. It's the safe strategy--the prevent defense of politics. She's up, her campaign knows it, and there's simply no reason to be taking big swings when there's a chance (even if very small) one of them could backfire in a big way.
  16. And? Utah is suddenly of at least some concern, and the Trump campaign isn't exactly in a spot where they can afford to lose what they assumed to be in-the-bag electoral votes. And Trump has still been on the campaign trail more lately than Clinton has, so, ya know, maybe not kill him for a day or part of a day off.
  17. For one game. I don't think roster decisions should be based on what is likely an outlying performance.
  18. Someone here probably hit an eagle or two while golfing. Doesn't mean they belong on the PGA Tour. If it were a seven game series, I bet that one game would be the only one Gorges shut him down.
  19. On the NFL and bonuses, I'm not sure teams would want to backload them. Bonuses being averaged out over the cap years while also being attractive to players is critical to helping teams manage the cap. They'd have to alter cap accounting to be like the NHL where every year is the same cap hit regardless of actual cash payouts.
  20. Eli is killing me. Though I would note, I have more points than the team in 3rd. Really bad year for me though. I have three teams, none of which are currently in a playoff position. Edit: Scratch that, I have one team sitting in 4th. But it's not a good team because Nuk (thanks, Brock) is killing me.
  21. Bogo for Dougie (e5)
  22. Yes. And certainly no player has ever had an adjustment period when changing positions. Nope, never. If it isn't full speed ahead from the get go it's because they're not moving their feet or some such. Yup, for sure that's it!
  23. It's almost as if Reinhart wasn't entirely comfortable playing a position he's never played before. Shocking. Who could have possibly foreseen that? Obviously not our sage coach.
