  1. It wasn't his fault, but I desperately want a gif of Bogo spinning in a circle while the puck goes into the net.
  2. I don't understand why, with such a need at WR, we didn't even bring Pryor in for a visit. Just signed a 1 year deal with Washington.
  3. JJ with the strawman? I'm shocked. Shocked I tell you!
  4. That's my point--we don't know who he is yet. I think the evidence suggests he's protected, and could be exposed if we start playing a more open game. Can't commit long term.
  5. No way, no how, am I okay with more than a bridge for Lehner. Contrary to popular belief, I actually think his weaknesses are insulated by the system we play. Lots of shots, but most aren't especially dangerous, and he's good at stopping those. He's abysmal at stopping quality chances from the high percentage areas, but the way we play, there's not too many of those going his way.
  6. Hopefully the players throw Bylsma under the bus during exit interviews, a la the Rangers with Torts a few years back.
  7. Sir, it's not negativity. It's apathy. I graciously accept your apology in advance :p
  8. The obvious choice for MVP is Matthews. He plays in Toronto. Case closed.
  9. Bogo is not a physical player. In fact, his physicality is nothing more than a legend of Kassian proportion. He's as strong in front of the net as Gragnani.
  10. Unfortunately, "his game" was never very good in the first place. Better than now? Well, yea. But not good.
  11. Given his draft pedigree and league-wide need for defensemen, I think his contract is moveable to the right team. That team, however, won't be an expansion team likely to have cash flow issues.
  12. It's utterly hilarious to me that Osweiler got $18 million per based on four (I think) mediocre starts, then one year later he played so poorly that the Texans had to pay another team to take the contract.
  13. I don't think it's impossible, but the cash payout being higher than the cap hit is likely a deal breaker. Hence fantasy :)
  14. You believe a Western Conference team sheeted Vanek for the sole purpose of borking our cap? I don't think so at all. They saw a situation they thought they could take advantage of to improve their team. They sheeted Vanek to a large sum because they thought we were too cheap to match.
  15. His girlfriend is from here and he wanted to be here before the draft lottery ever happened.
  16. I'd say top-15 is probably right. He's not an in-his-prime Revis, but he's an upper echelon starter.
  17. This just isn't how NHL GMs operate, though. They don't use offer sheets to improve their own team (hi Nikita Kucherov getting nothing), let alone to simply sabotage another team.
  18. Wouldn't such a contract similarly hamstring the team signing it?
  19. You and others are about to find out how much you underrated him. He's really good.
  20. Gilmore going to the Pats makes me very, very sad.
  21. Because Buffalo. There is no other reason.
  22. I only have to deal with Gorges for one more year, worst case scenario. Bogo is three! You're damn right it wasn't good enough! :p
  23. Somewhat related, I continue to be of the mind that part of the reason you want a superduperstar like Eichel at center is so you don't have to invest heavily in the wings. I think the mindset of "we have to get wingers to help Eichel" is a little bit reverse from how I see it.
  24. Sir. The right side of your second pair. I do not approve. *still has fantasies of Vegas snagging Bogo*
