    Just. Awful.

Or maybe we all just give a young HC and GM a ***** moment to gather themselves as they start their new careers and not expect perfect decisions from day one. Jesus, you are comparing Sean’s first couple months on the job to Andy Reid. That’s patently ridiculous.

Me: "I'd prefer a head coach who was more philosophically in line with the landscape of the league."

You: "OMG how dare you expect perfection from a rookie coach!"

    Talk about awful. ???

We're 10-4 man with a shot at the division next week. In decades of toiling in Buffalo futility, just enjoy it for once

I am! Did you read the thread? I just don't need SDS' patented drive by nonsense. The offense is bad, it's bad because of organizational choices, and there's a very good chance it costs us.

That said, we can totally beat any AFC south scrubs.

Seriously? Our first double digit wind total in 20 years… Two playoff appearances in three years, where we had none the previous 17… You have problems with the organization? FFS

And the first time we made the playoffs in this run we scored...*checks notes*...3 points.

It's 2019 in a cap league where elite defenses can be held together for a couple of years before contracts break it all up. The league is built for offenses to win, and the teams with the best offenses win over a longer period than those with defenses. Because one player on offense means a lot more than one player on defense. I think they built the team backwards. If Allen becomes one if the greats it won't matter, but he's sure not there yet.

Would you rather be the Chiefs or the Bills right now? The baseline shouldn't be two decades of complete organizational ineptitude, it should be teams that win consistently over an extended period of time.

In general, I think fans need to lay off the offense. The talent level just isn’t there yet and they’re doing their best to make chicken salad. I mean, why get mad at people who are mostly incapable of doing great things when they don’t do them?

It is going to take a bit to get the talent level up to par. $90M in cap next year should help, if anyone worthwhile makes it to free agency.

My beef isn't with the players on offense, it's with the organizational decision making of the McBeane era that led to this collection of players being the best we can field right now.

There is so much more going on here. The field position, the personnel.  I don't think I'll ever like McDermott and Daboll as a HC & OC combo. They can't even overcome themselves.

McDermott is good at what he wants to do. I don't think he's incompetent or anything (other than at game management), he's a good coach. I just don't think he's a great coach for the NFL in 2019.

Horrible play calling. Sacrifice your QB to get a first down inside the 10 and that's the three plays you call? Really?

That was the worst playcalling series I’ve ever seen this year.

I have nothing of substance to add, I just want to up my post count.

I wish I could inject all these players with the years of misery, losing, heartbreak, screaming tirades, hands thrown in the air in the WTF motion to get them to understand the gravity of every single muscle they move during these games. The players just don't carry the weight that the fans do.

This is the last thing I would wish on any of these players.

Why don't we ever even try to stretch the field to end the half?

Combination of naturally conservative coach and a QB who can't hit a deep ball. But honestly, it's not a terrible move in this spot. Pittsburgh's offense is comically over matched.

I tend to agree, that going for it is the right move. But I also feel like it's not even a decision anymore, and that was a long 4th down. Dude can't hit from 50 anymore.

    Fair.

    White came back!

And when they showed each of the D starters introducing himself and giving his alma mater, White said "Tre White Goalie Academy."

    Awesome.

I'd obviously still rather have Mahomes, but Tre is a treasure. I love him to pieces. Favorite Bill since Fred Jackson.

Separately, I think we could win this game without scoring another point.

I don't think I'm gonna make it through this thing without ending up with a massive hangover in the morning.

It's worth burning some sick time.
