I feel good again!
-
I feel less good now. Can we get a new kicker for next year?
-
I feel even better now! Love the fat guy interception!

I feel pretty good about this.

I think he has more time than some realize. I think at a minimum JB has the entire season. Most likely longer.

I just don't buy it. Darcy sold the Pegulas on suffering and still got fired in relatively short order. Rex Ryan sold them on....something....and got fired after 2 years of a 5-year contract. Tim Murray and Bylsma got fired right quick. I'm not saying Botterill is definitely going to be fired, but the Pegulas shouldn't be assumed to be giving their team leadership a long rope.

Ristolainen you are just not good at hockey.
Surely, it'll be the next coach who unlocks his potential! Just you wait and see! ???
Can we please just fire Risto and McCabe into the sun? Game after game they cost goals, don't contribute to goals, and get played a bajillion minutes.
We'll never be good as long as our GM/coach combo values the wrong traits in players.

Is this a Hmmmmm?
Or did he finally get an ultimatum from Pegula??
Of course he's in a good mood, he can use the Dahlin injury to justify keeping all of the defensemen.

Something something McDermott is a dinosaur
Well, most coaches are dinosaurs.
Anyway, this makes it all the more dumbfounding the number of times he'll waste a timeout trying to draw someone offside at the 45 and then punt.

Friedman mentioned this AM that Colin Miller’s Name has been mentioned in trade discussions
Mentioned as in other teams want him, or mentioned as in Botterill wants to move him? Duh to the former, ??? to the latter.

Dallas is definitely beatable. I wouldn't bet on us to win outright, but I do think the spread is higher than it should be.

I mean, we supported burning the team down once when we had near all stars as the top of the team, what makes you think the idea we can improve fortunes by jettisoning them wouldn't change?
Because the context isn't the same. Eichel and Dahlin are a wee bit better building blocks at the two most important positions than Roy and Myers. Of course, I wouldn't mind a Ryan Miller caliber goaltender to group with them.

Lack of dynamic play, or flash is a factor. Draft position is as well. We did tank to get a less than all star level RW. That's gotta bias opinions.
For sure. I'm just frustrated that one of three legitimate top-6 forwards we have is trade bait in the eyes of many in hopes of getting what Sam already is.
-
Sam's lack of flash will forever leave him undervalued by a good chunk of fans.

Probably Rochester's best offensive player. Nice player. Doubt he looks out if place.
So, what you're saying is, he will look out of place. ?

I'm not confident they have 1 win left.
Pretty sure you also said that two wins ago.

What is the second win?
Jets and Steelers. I also have hope (though not expectation) of a win against Dallas.

Of course I'm missing a total stress-free win. Of course. On the bright side, we'll win 2 of the next 5 and see you in January.

It was kind of a joke.
It’s true that his size limits his ability to defend in a lot of situations. But it’s also true that his transition/offensive ability really reduces the amount of time that he actually has to spend defending.
Overall you are looking at a solidly above average player. A very dangerous player. There are other guys who can play in the more defensive situations and PK.
I was just piling on the joke ?

But can he clear the crease?
Oh, what’s that? He keeps the puck in the OZone so it never comes near the crease anyway? Oh, that works too.
He's also too small to play defense in the NHL.

You need to aim higher in the chain of command
There's nobody higher than Botterill other than Pegula, and I'm not going to believe Pegula ordered the O'Reilly trade without some real evidence. Botterill has iced two of the worst teams in franchise history, so I'm not going to just buy that his worst move just happens to not be his fault.

Not that there's anything wrong with that Jason...

Well if Mr. “I’ll Drill Another Well” had agreed to pay the bonus, Elias Lindholm and Jeff Skinner would have been part of the return.
Or the GM could not have chosen the inept coach over his 2nd best player.

I fully expect Jason to make a move similar to Gudbranson/Pearson, likely with Miller or Scandella
If he trades Miller I'll stab him in his giant forehead.
