The Duke Williams fans were right.

Offense needs to finish a drive here. First time all game I've been nervous.

Pretty sure that should have been DPI on the Texans. Duke couldn't move his left arm. Really nice throw, too.

Why do they keep giving the ball to Gore??!!!
Nobody knows. But when too much Frank Gore is the only thing you can complain about, you know it's a good day.

Is there a difference between Bill O'Brien and Doug Marrone? Yes, there is: O'Brien has a QB who bails out his bad coaching. It won't happen today, though.

I've always loved Trent Murphy!

That was McKenzie, and the pass was late. Not uncatchable, but it definitely wasn't on time.

This crowd is insane. It's like Toronto fans invading the arena.
Also, Bill O'Brien punting there was hilarious. He stinks. Also challenging the PI. So bad.

Why isn’t Frolik here yet?
Visas take a little time.

Outside of doing it a year early
The jerseys are still perfect.

And yes, we should absolutely be wearing red, white, and black and the goat head today.
Can't for the game due to NHL rules. But definitely should have had them for warm-ups.

Ullmark in net
And this is ridiculous,
It remains a modern miracle that the Sabres got the 50th anniversary jerseys perfect.

It's happening again. I just have to assume most of the people doing this haven't been Bills fans for that long. It will take 5 Superbowl wins to get me back to normal.
At least you recognize it's a you problem ?
This is a very winnable game. Houston is gloriously average. They have a bad defense, a great offense, and a mediocre-at-best head coach. I'm not saying the Bills are better, but I really like the matchup for us. I'm not all-in on a Bills win, but I think a win is more likely than a loss.

Ugh. Brutal. Not worst-case, but still pretty bad. Feel bad for him as much, if not more, as us.

I could watch the Eichel end-to-end that drew the penalty on loop without sleep until work tomorrow. Just blows the doors off the guy from behind the net. So beautiful.

I'm not an advanced stats junkie but from what I've read, Jack's (and Matthews') defensive numbers are much better this season than both McDavid's and Draisaitl's. Jack is still improving his 2 way game but he's improved substantially on the defensive side of things especially back checking, I think he's a better defensive player than McDavid right now, so I don't agree he's better than Jack in every way at all. Though obviously McDavid is in fact the best player in the league overall.

If Jack continues separating himself from Connor at that end of the ice, and keeping it pretty close offensively (like he is this year), I can't rule out a situation where (not that it really means anything, especially in a sport like hockey) Jack is the better player "head to head" between the two. Bigger, stronger. Similar to what Gretzky said about Lemieux.
I think it can fairly be argued that Jack is currently better than McDavid defensively. But I didn't take that into account with my dominance comment because he's still merely just okay defensively. Nobody is mistaking Eichel for a prime Kopitar.

I could make 300 chocolate cakes in a year with a couple assistants. You could make one by yourself in the same time period. Doesn’t necessarily mean I’m better at making chocolate cakes than you.
That's...that's not the same thing. Eichel has played signficisnt minutes with Evander Kane, Jeff Skinner, and Sam Reinhart. None of them are as good as Draisaitl, but it's hardly a collection of scrubs.

Those stats don’t make McJesus a better goal scorer than Jack.
They literally do. McDavid and Eichel absolutely score differently, and Jack has a better shot, but if scoring more goals doesn't make one a better goal scorer then I have no idea what does. It's not like McDavid is scoring butt goals.

I think Jack is more tenacious, more physical.
More physical, sure, but I don't think he's any more tenacious than McDavid.
I just don't understand this need to make Jack as good or better than McDavid. We can acknowledge McDavid is the best player in the league without it being a slight on Jack or making us unhappy we have Jack.

I think McD’s dominance is based on his speed, no one is at his level. He has sick hands but a few others others including Jack are more pure goal scorers.
Jack has averaged .39 goals per game since being drafted. McDavid has averaged .46. Jack has a better shot, but that doesn't make him a better goal scorer.

He was only on the ice for the FO. He was immediately replaced by Rino.
Right, but if he loses the draw (which has happened 52% of the time this season and 56% of the time on his career), he probably can't just skate off without creating an odd man rush the other way.

Nod to Ralph for that strategy paying off.
Of course I probably railed on Phil when he did this with Sobotka last year, so nevermind, ur so dumb Ralph! It's a bad strategy. Glad it worked, but having Lazar on the ice 3v3 is likely a loser over time.
7 minutes ago, Doohickie said:Honestly, I think Jack can dominate more than McDavid. McD might be better at using his teammates, but as a one man show I'll take Jack, thankyouverymuch.
Nah. Jack is incredible, but McDavid is more dominant in every way.

Did anyone else think that penalty shot call was ticky tacky? I'll take it anyway. Nice to be on the positive side of those.
Weak call. Don't care.
Of course, if McDavid backchecks on the play, he's probably able to break it up and take it out of the ref's hands.
