  1. Is this easy to do? I"ve never done it before.
  2. I've seen his shirtless instagram photo from like a week ago or something, and made a point to compare it to the one from last summer, and there is a much bigger difference between that one and previous years than this year and that one, in which the differences in size were minimal. I sound like I'm pointlessly crapping on Alex which I dont' mean to do haha But that interview was just coach-speak to me, functionally identical to the things he said about Nylander last year HIs chest is naturally a little thicker, and his abs are less prevalent now, he must be at the end of a bulking cycle
  3. Promo, it was the Around the NHL thread for some reason. Just found it! mods could maybe move it here?
  4. I can't remember, and we posted in a lot of threads yesterday. I'd just bet money on it because of the vivid deja vu that reading this this morning gave me, in particular, to yesterday morning when I did the same thing But it's better to have it mentioned here in this thread anyway, so I only meant to comment on us not being as slow on the uptake as it appears!
  5. Chris Taylor had the same exact tone about Alex last year, which is when he actually put on the bulk of his muscle mass. Of course, that's coming from my eye and his instagram photos, so I'm not being scientific there
  6. I know us youngsters suck because we just pirate things instead of buying them, but goddamn I want to give the NHL my money for sh*t like center ice and then they pull this bull, which actively motivates me to watch Sabres games illegally instead
  7. If Edmunds starts on Sunday, he'll be the youngest linebacker to ever start a game since the Super Bowl era began.
  8. You think they'll do something for this?
  9. If anyone knows a possible way for a person in Oklahoma to watch this scrimmage, can that person please send me a PM?
  10. Matthews is getting Tavares' contract on the dot and it will make complete sense for all sides. Unless he plays this season without signing and wins the Hart and the Art Ross.
  11. I just saw that it's an NHL thing. Is there somebody I can complain to?
  12. Um...why the f*ck would they do that? I've planned my entire Friday around this...
  13. I'm pretty sure the board talked about Eichel's comments in an unrelated thread actually
  14. In two years there will be at least five new skaters from outside the organization, so projections are never really accurate
  15. I'm excited to watch this guy. If this organization can't take that shot and turn the player into at least a PP specialist, they need to fire everyone again. Imagine that shot in the ROR spot on PP1, with Jack able to get the puck over there any given time.
  16. Wasn't sure where to put this, but here's a post on Dahlin from hfboards - a guy in Sweden who's seen a bunch of his games. Thought it was interesting and worth sharing. I would too .. earlier .. like a year ago I thought personally that he looked kind of like Rob Blake. I thought that then but it does not fit now. Disclaimer: I live in Sweden and I saw at least 40 SHL games 20 of which were with Frölunda. All of them live on TV.So he is like 16 and there is a highlight goal that gets repeated on TV and so I pay attention. This is where it starts: what the hell .. what is this, who is this .. and so on.During the 1,5 years before the draft he went from being the most explosively offensive defenceman to a solid stay at home guy. When he scored the most spectacular goals he was also kind of sort of shaky on D.But he changed that. And the last 3 or 4 months of SHL play .. I often found myself wanting the young 17 year old on the ice rather than any of the veterans in tight situations. He had only two shifts in game with the olympic swedish team .. during those brief intermissions he has one assist and gives away a goal to the opponents.I would say that is pretty wide range for a 17 year old with only two shifts on ice. With the club team he is now one of the (perhaps even THE) most solid D-man at only 17 years. Rasmus at this point is a seriously good defenceman .. you aren't nervous when he jumps on the ice .. you feel safer. I mean that .. I am not just saying it.And that is where he left us. Quite a few of us are going to follow his career across the Atlantic I suppose but now he is sort of yours. A Buffalo Sabre. The best defenceman of the SHL last year was Lawrence Pilut and he is also yours. I would not be surprised if Lawrence wins the Calder over Rasmus too .. L.P. is phenomenally good. I hated him on HV71 .. one of my least favourite Swedish teams. He is very very very good too.I guess I'll be following the career of Rasmus from here from now on.Cheers
  17. I forgot the rule was changed. I like that. I was still operating under last year's uneasy/uncertain view I had of catching.
  18. I think he's annoying but people should def. know how good of a CB he is
  19. I understand the catch rule even less than I get the catch rule most years
  20. I want this to be true but I can't believe it in my heart. He's not Sid or McDavid. Which doesn't mean he can't be MacKinnon
  21. How do you know it only took 7 years to get the right GM in place? All this guy can hang his hat on is finishing in last place
