From my experience, if you land in Istanbul you will not want to leave. We almost didn't. It is a fascinating place and literally where East meets West. You can be standing in Europe and walk acrost a bridge to Asia.

Playing themselves out of a playoff spot.
Sabres Fan in NS replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
The goalies are just like every other player the Sabres have. They need to play lights out in order to have a chance to win. There is no clear starter now, if there ever was, and they should split the remaining games right down the middle to see who has what to offer going forward. -
Greece and Turkey together, eh? Awesome!! Which ever country you go to first don't tell the other one that you were there when you get there. Capeesh? Bring me back a whole bunch of Turkish coffee, will you? Don't tell the Greeks, though. They will tell you they invented it. They call it Greek coffee. It is pretty much the exact same thing.

It's not nice to tease the animals, ya know?

My apologies for contributong to the derilment of this great thread. I hate to call on a mod to clean up after us, but maybe they could. I would delete my initial reply to PA, but that really would not help. Sorry, but one last thing ... @shrader ... then it's worse than I thought, if you are correct.

I appreciate this very much. I do appreciate Weave's support and I do think that Hucks reply to my post was out of line and showed a general disrespect. That said, I agree with you that I, nor my post, was the target of that disrespect. It is well known that I am not a Christian, but I still found the image in the link you posted (not you for posting it, mind you) very distasteful. If I were a Christian I would find Hucks post extremely disrespectful.

What's caulk? I am the second least handy guy in the world. My neighbour is the least handy guy in the world. Really. It's true.

So, some even randomer thoughts for today ... 1.) Nova Scotia has the nicest people you ever want to meet ... https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/deer-rescue-ice-1.4977339 2.) I generally agree with the policy of not negotiating with kidnappers. Things are different when it's your own family, eh? I expect that we will hear from Randall's captores any day now. I say we give them whatever they want as ransom. Seriously, has anyone heard from him? 3.) My damn phone has been acting up off and on for a while now. This morning it went through a boot - reboot - reboot cycle about 10 times. When it finally stayed on I charged it up and am going to leave it on forever now. I so am not interested in having to buy a new phone. This one I got in November 2015. The one before it was 15 years old. I am so not a fancy phone guy, but have gotten accustomed to having that very powerful mini computer with me at all times. About the only thing I can't do very easily is make, or receive, a phone call.

Cute. But, Shonen? Sounds Gaelic. I like it, but did the other dogs beat him up in the dog yard?

He was a good, although not very skilled, soldier. Good enough to have a long career in the NHL. I have said it before and I will always remember what he did. He will always have a special place in my heart because he waived his NTC to come to the Sabres and not to go to Toronto when he was traded from Montréal.

I agree. Violence is never the answer. I should have added that. Being upset about it is very understandable, though.

Sorry. I will delete, but that will not help, as my post has been quoted many times. Ellis is very close, indeed. And not just in spelling. No doubt. Are you a USMC vet? My uncle was a WWII vet and had an army tattoo, which was an eagle. So, I am familiar with the symbolism of the eagle. It has been used as a symbol of strength down through the ages, as @... pointed out. In the miniature avatar it is clear that it is an eagle and I am not familiar with the emblem of the USMC. And with the skull the avatar looks very sinister to me. Again, my apologies and I meant no harm, or offense.

Is this a real question? You know who you were reading.

Shoot more.

I suppose your last one earned you another look. Kind of like Ellie. Also, what in the heck is your avatar? It looks sinister and evil, but maybe it isn't, eh? +++++ The Oilers are very beatable, but I said the same thing about the Canes. Lets hope the Sabres bring their 'A' game and get the roadie off to a good start. MUST WIN!! GO SABRES!!
