Seems like we could be talking about the exact same things at any time during the Sabres existence, except maybe in 1974/75. Although, I do remember a 'goalie controversy' even then. +++++ I am glad that @PASabreFanhas instituted the puck drop as the official start time. That way I am reminded that I have 9 minutes to get fully geared up and to have one last PP prior to puck drop. That way I will have a better chance of making it to the first whistle before I need a PP break.

I do think that a playoff team looking for some veteran leadership and some additional scoring would be interested in Pominville. I would not be surprised if he is given another kick at the cup can. I also would be very surprised if he would ask for one. If nothing else he is a loyal soldier. I think he wants to retire a Sabre.
