He's one of those guys that falls between lines. He's doesn't have the high-end skill to put up 20 goals in the top 6, and he isn't really going to scare anyone in a shutdown role in the bottom 6. Still want to see him succeed though.

yeah, but expectations should have come down about a month ago. Kids from Rochester are going to battle, get caught, make some mistakes. Booing when they get hemmed in, but keep play to the outside.....I don't know what the message is. Teams get hemmed in. It happens.

Buffalo isn't a hard barn to play in. It's a good atmosphere, but it certainly isn't loud...or the type of crowd that gives you more than the queens clap on the kill. I wish it were otherwise, because Buffalo fans care intensely about their hockey, but to hear a crowd that is regularly buzzing, i think you have to go back a few years. I'm not going to tell anyone they can't boo. Hell it's your right. But I will say hearing it, especially when the team is tied or winning, really sucks. It's like cheering for the other team.

Varlamov has been just bad. He'd have trouble in DII.

Honestly I'm not too excited by Rolston. Just like everyone else, If we can upgrade at that position we should. (having said that, Rolston has a weak hand.....but I'd rather see a team with a heavy forecheck that loses than watch trap hockey.)
