Better skating out of the back end. Sounder passing. But Only one real scoring chance in the entire second period. (Porter - I think)
The second and third periods Boston had about 15 scoring chances to Buffalo's 3.
Nice win. But there was some luck. Should have been a 2-1 loss. Boston blew it.
Somehow Buffalo has been defying all kinds of percentages this stretch.
I don't mean to sound too skeptical. I enjoyed the win.
Nice win. But that was a collapse by the Bruins. Ott wins a faceoff in the last seconds.
Bruins really dominated play but couldn't cash it in.
2 power play goals. Wow....where did those come from.
I wish I could be more optimistic. But the recent record is more a reflection of a Jennings type goaltending tandem over the last 2 weeks than any fundamentally better play, although I like Ennis much better at wing.
Him and Pysyk are excellent skaters. Neither look out of place at all and are remarkably calm with an NHL forecheck.
Erhoff is playing great hockey too.
<shudder> I suspect Rolston continued the serial abuse - isolating him from his line-mates, and making him feel bad for playing a man's game. <shudder>
The poor kid is in his head.
He can play through a game and not really think, or he can think through a game and not really play.
He can do one or the other.
In this league you have to do both.
Even boring move - like signing someone like Jay McClement as a UFA, might have shored up this team enough to make the playoffs. I'm slightly amazed how even mathematically they are still alive.
Two years should be plenty.
NHL MEMO:
Home teams will wear white jerseys in the months of October, Dec, and February.
Visiting teams will wear their colored sweaters. Except for Montreal, who
will insist on doing their own thing and blather Ole's.
