I don't actually believe that. What hurt his trade value was actually Steve Bartlett his agent. Bartlett is taking Vanek to market you can bank on it........nobody was going to pay a premium for Vanek without the chance to sign him.

He's a great kid. Fast but not much laterally. Reminds me of Blake Wheeler or Nick Bjudstag. I'm pumped we got him, but the price seems a little on the high side. BTW - he's going to appreciate what he gets, his brother (and sister?) have something like Jim Kelly's kid has but I don't think it is Krebbs. It seems that the Tim Murray's model is the 2007 Ducks Gezlaf, Perry, Parros, May, Moen, Penner..... He likes the bigger bodies. Like the move, even though the price was on the high side. Decades back, every other year there used to rumors of wife-swapping. Today it would get tweeted. Mostly all the wives were friends and would stay together when the players were on road trips. Player would get home and player would be seen driving other players wife home. But wife-swapping is a much better story.
