I’m not talking about the celebrations after the buzzer. I’m talking about how he was acting in the final two minutes, there was a stoppage or two and it seemed like he may have been grumbling.
I’m thinking he just bought himself more time with back to back wins - assuming there was some sort of cloud over him after the first game to begin with.
At the end of the game, I couldn’t tell if Eichel was acting frustrated that he couldn’t get the hatter, or if he was playfully enjoying the moment. Really hard to read.
If he was mad about not getting the Jack-Trick, not quite leadership skills there. Should’ve been happy to lead the team to a win.
Was anyone else watching his reactions at the end?
If Sobotka comes back Thursday, I doubt Housley sits Pommers after he just got a goal.
I also doubt Tage is getting sent down anytime soon...just a hunch.
I’m with matter on this one. Golf isn’t a real sport. Just because it is “really really hard” or “takes skill” isn’t enough of a qualification.
Building a space shuttle is really really hard. Getting over the loss of a loved one is really really hard. Neither qualifies as a sport.
I understand that bouncy ball isn’t a “real” sport, but the thread title just says “sports history.” It is still considered a sport, just like golf is for some reason.
Detractors will say that Eichel doesn’t have the talent around him that Matthews has.
I’m pretty sure the Sabres have tried almost everyone they’ve had on a line with Eichel. Jack does have skills, when he tries, but I’m getting skeptical about him when watching other league talent. I’m really hoping Eichel will find a way to be on that next level.
