  1. Some of you guys must really enjoy being the worse team in hockey. This team is so handicapped with offensive talent both here, in Rochester, and in the juniors that if you don't think we have to overpay for top 6 forwards something is wrong.

This is not turning around anytime fast and it will be much longer if we are going to put all our eggs in the draft basket. This is a guy that, if management truly goes after him, that they feel is the kind of player they want leading the team. Stats are not everything. Look at Vanek. I would take RC over him all day long. Not because of stats but because of the kind of character and leadership he brings. That will be invaluable as all these young kids start coming through the system.

that is why we would need to pay him well. like i said before pay him 8 mill first two years, have it lowered till you reach 5 mill on the last two. At wich time it will be a bargain for a contender.

Consider him your third line player you don't have to go after anymore by then at the deadline.

  2. During the offseason there were reports of Seguin needing to be put up in a hotel with a guard during the playoffs so he wouldn't wander for entertainment. That's a huge risk that wasn't worth it in my opinion. Pretending Vanek, Pysyk, Girgensons gets that trade done, if it doesn't work out how bare is the cupboard? And it sounds funny, but is it bright to bring in a guy who had these problems in a town where bars close at 2am rather than 4?

What your bars close at 2am ? that is sad man

  3. Normally those are factors. But the issue is the massive overpayment Callahan is demanding.

Who is willing to give him that much, and give the Rangers fair value in a trade?

This isn't Steven Stamkos we are talking about here.

We are because we got the room, i'd start with giving him 8 mill first two years and have it drop to 5 mill last two years.

  4. Toyota Auris 2008

This is what I am driving at the moment, bought the car from my parents, 5 yrs old, except for the usual maintenance that will come with cars hitting 6yrs, i never had any issues.

Seeing my height being 1.94 meters i need a bit of room. This car has suprisingly alot of space for being a smaller model.

The car has just enough punch to make it fun driving to, makes you feel like you are driving on a cloud to :D

Edit, also had a small accident with it after 5 months because i was blinded by the sun and hit another car in the flank, my bumper was a bit scraped, but it came out ok.

Can't really say that of the other car though.

  5. Your point is reasonable, but I think Ott has quite a bit more game than Kaleta. And 30-goal scorers like Moulson aren't that available. And as much as I like Miller, there are going to be a few good goalies on the market this summer.

Separately: Does McKenzie really think anyone is going to trade for McCormick? Or Stafford for that matter?

Some action this week would be nice.

I think you are underestimating kaleta, on a good team he is the best 4th liner you can have. Good PK guy, has good speed and will probably score 10 goals on a good team.

  6. Don't think that should be a surprise to any of us, but i wouldn't call it a reversed drury at all, Callahan has much more left in the "tank".

But its also the only move sabres should make, you want to be a local boy, fine we'll pay you but don't expect anything for the next two years and it will be front loaded somewhat.

Edit: don't expect anything except us going for top 3 draft pick in 2015 and patrick kane ...

If he bleeds sabres blood , he'll accept it and be a leader to take us to the ultimate price, really should be that simple.

  7. Well for callahan as well as kane the only thing that can make them sign with the sabres is because they want to play for their local team.

Chances of that happening might be slim because they both have got something good going on with their current teams. but you can always hope :P

  8. These are two legitimate concerns. Price is no biggy in and of itself, but financially structuring your team around someone who is injury prone from playing on the edge can be a problem.

Given the chance, I'd pull the trigger on any reasonable deal that could land him. But I'd only expect a good 4 years out of that contract.

If he really is a fan of buffalo he'll take 5.5 mill, wich isn't to bad seeing some are willing to pay Steve Ott 4 mill.

Hell 6 mill for 6 years even looks like a steal with the cap ceiling going up each year.

  9. Most liked? No question, he'll be up there. Best? We've got problems if he's one of the best.

I'm with Eleven on this one. On a good team he can be a good 3rd line role player, I don't expect more of him.

A 3rd line with him and foligno should be our future coming years.

  10. I know not everybody on here agrees with me, but just because we have a lot of goalies in the system it doesn't mean we have a lot of good ones.

    Enroth will get his shot.

After that, Lieuwen and Hackett have yet to show they are more than OK AHL goalies and the rest haven't even done that.

One or more may emerge, but other than Ullmark's great half-season, none have shown anything worth getting excited about.

    Makarov !!!

That and i think enorth did allright tonight, don't think any of the goals were on him at all.
