I hope for ekblad in 5 yrs he is ahead of where myers is now, allthough his game has improved under nolan

I'd just take ekblad and trade myers for that talented young forward.

As much as I would like to Stafford and Leino gone before next season, the Sabres might be in a position where they can't afford to let either of them go. They represent $8.5 mil of the Sabres salary cap next year. The Sabres are already projected to be $41 mil under the cap. Removing another $8.5 mil and the Sabres might have trouble hitting the cap floor.
I've been saying that for a while now, but i would cut Leino anyway no matter what, we can't have him on our team for another 3 yrs.

Stafford will get traded, his improved play has some teams interested in him.

I'd give moulson 5 mill + a year, he has earned it for being 11th on the scoring list since 2008 in the NHL.
Ott i'd give between 3 - 4 mill.

What not happy with zadorov and ristolainen? unlike edmonton we are set up for defense and goaltending for years to come.
Wich is good cause what good is it putting in 4 goals if you take 6 yourself. I like how we are set up to draft forwards for the next two years.

Well can't find an example myself, but did read something about a player being pressured to change his number 88 couple of years ago.
And to lazy to start looking it up :P

88 is actually a bit touchy to wear. Any player to wear that number has balls. Several Players in any sports who wore that number have been forced to change it by the jewish community.

It is someone i wanted us to have a go at two years ago, now i don't know. but with moulson gone at the deadline he'll get enough time to prove himself.

When i think about it, We'd probably loose that #1 pick to two teams craving defense, Islander or Oilers. Both of them will take ekblad with their pick.
Reinhart will fall to us at #2 anytime.

I do want Stafford here next year. Not that I want Stafford, but in the last year if his contract he can help us reach the floor without any long term commitment that somebody like Moulson would require.
What i been saying multiple times already, this will be the reason neither stafford or Leino (he might go we'll see in offseason what happens) will be bought out, they'll need to reach cap floor next year.
Moulson will sign with the islanders again to be with tavares again, but he'll sign it a "bargain" price cause he'll be happy to be playing with JT again.

The more i watched the worser it looks to me, he had no reason to do that, just plain thuggery and nothing honorable about that.
Tripping a guy from behind, slamming head on ice, then keep bashing punches into him while he is knocked out.
If im Orpik im seeing this guy in court again, this has nothing to do with the sport or the game.
Certainly its much worser then what kaleta or scott done this year, because that was actually part of the game, "bad hits".
This is just assault, he should be suspended for as long as Orpik is out, and atleast untill ferbruary for me.

Tough break on USA , Ghana is the only african country i didn't want , Portugal and Germany are #3 and #1 in europe for me.
Well if you are lucky, win from Ghana, rest of the games all draws :P
We got a good draw, Belgium, Algeria, Russia and South korea. Russia will be our toughest opponent. Allthough no game is ever easy, Algeria can surprise since they have a couple of good players with Inter milan and Valencia.
But no one is expecting us not to get passed the group stage now.
