  1. I haven't done any sport in over 5 yrs, used to be rather fit, but since i started working shifts in my airport job , missed to many practices and games.

So kinda quit, gotten fatter ever since seeing my beer consumption went up along with it.

been drinking less lately though, and lost around 6 kgm, would love to lose 15 more :D

  2. Another year, another year without drafting a top end center. Not sure the Sabres could have gotten one give their position, but there goes another year without one. oh well.... Not saying what they drafted was bad, I like the top two defensemen, Still another year without a top centerman... sigh.... They just had to go on that late season run :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

Might be guessing here, but they might think they have that franchise center in Grigorenko, a player that was projected as top 3 talent in last years draft.

  3. I was hoping for an impact offensive player to be drafted today. It seems the Sabres took the best available player with each of their first round picks that probably are at least a year away. The Amerks probably just got better on defense next year, but I'm not sure the Sabres did for the foreseeable future. Hopefully free agency will be better.

#1 draft pick next yeah ?

  4. He's got to feel like he's won the lottery. Schneider seems to have been blind sided.

Schneider must be pretty happy to, in a year he is the #1 goalie for new jersey for the next ten years if he delivers.

  5. Well can not really say im dissapointed, the guys that were supposed to go ahead of us were gone already.

It came down to Risto, horvat and nichuskin, he just went for the best one. can't blaim him for that.

The trade market just wasn't there. Only trade i like so far is schneider for #9, only one that made that sense to me to.

If it came down to picking the best player possible at #8 and #16 its just what he did.

It seems we traded out sekera for a 2nd round pick, sad to see him go, would rather have seen myers go than him but oh well.

As for not picking a forward in first round , Grigorenko - hodgon are our centers for the future. lets not forget grigorenko was labeled top 3 in last years draft if it wasn't for him getting sick.

wich makes him in my eyes as good as Ristolainen at #8. And many teams had said they would have gotten him before #12 if they had the chance.

  6. Because of this everybody who is not a Bayern fan in Germany hates them so much. Their strategy: Just buy the best players in your league and the best coaches and dominate.

My favorite team is Dortmund, so i really felt bad after the loss on Saturday. Hate them, but i am happy we dominated them for two years. Now our management and coach need to show some magic and find some great talents, again.

I hear you'll be getting Kevin de Bruyne and Naser chadli, both good playmakers, and can score to.

But most important, both are not shy for playing physical either.

  7. Spain might be stopped by the fuentes scandal and see its aging players being forced to quit because of it.

The fuentes scandal is starting to spread out to other sports besides cycling, he'll name names soon enough (Some british gossip paper will pay money for it for sure).

Wouldn't be surprised that in a year Spain will lose their world and european cups. And barcelona will have to hand over their champions league wins.

As long the evidence (blood bags) aren't destroyed by then. Wich tennis star Andy murray is trying to block.

The dutch already started a youth movement in the back end and midfield, don't see a problem for them.

I'll help you out when it comes to belgium.

We are close to having the most expensive national team in the world.

    Goalies

Thibaut Courtois owned by chelsea but on loan to atletico madrid for two years now - best young goalie in the world

Simon Mignolet owend by sunderland and one of main reasons they are not relegating from EPL, yielding interest from Manchester united and arsenal.

    Defense

Toby alderweireld Ajax amsterdam probably going to liverpool.

vincent Kompany captain of manchester city (also yielding interest from barcelona but not going anywhere)

Thomas Vermaelen Arsenal (benched alot lately but yielding interest from barcelona)

    Jan Verthongen Tottenham

    Nicolas lombaerts Zenit st petersburg

Daniel Van buyten Bayern munchen. <--- one of the older guys in this very young group also scoring leader lol :D

    Sebastien pocognoli Hannover 96

    Midfield

    Moussa dembele tottenham

Marouane Felliani Everton (yielding interest by Manchester United)

Kevin de Bruyne owned by chelsea on loan to werder bremen (yielding interest from Dortmund, leverkussen)

    Eden Hazard owned by chelsea

    Steven defour Fc porto

Dries mertens psv eindhoven (believed to be going to epl soon)

    Axel Witsel Zenit st petersburg

Nacer chadli Fc twente, rumours are Juventus currently made 8 million euro offer for him.

Timmy simons nurnberg <---- Oldest of this young group, playing in his last two years.

Guillaume gillet, Anderlecht midfielder who can also play defense.

    Attack

    Kevin Mirralas everton

Romelu Lukaku owned by chelsea on loan to west brom albion. 14 goals in EPL this season.

Christain Benteke Aston villa probably the main reason they are not relegating 19 goals in EPL this season.

Jelle vossen KRC Genk most likekly playing in bundesliga next year.

  8. True, but Bundesliga has been underestimated for years, and prolly is now the best league in europe.

And we have around 5 teams in Belgium that can beat teams from "top" 3 leagues in europe anytime.

And we're going to win WC2014. If we can get past the #4 (croatia) team in the world in qualifyers.

The level of football is pretty decent in any league or country in europe. Its also why its a shame they want more asian countries going to the world cup.

I'd rather see good teams playing there, even if they mostly come from South america, Europe or Africa.

  9. The Bundesliga really has come back around, it seems. Maybe it's a three-league Europe now.

Funny, Primera division and premier league, most of the so called top teams have ammassed huge debts, it can't continue.

Bundesliga along with belgian and swedish league are the only 3 financially healthy leagues in europe.

Also only 3 leagues whom actually punish teams that have huge debts. So yes for me its a 3 league europe, as in german swedish and belgian.

  10. The Fourth Period: The Kings tried trading for a 2nd line winger at the deadline but came up empty. They made calls on Drew Stafford, Jason Pominville and Curtis Glencross. The Kings wouldn’t give up the top prospects and high draft picks for Glencross. Source said that they would trade Tyler Toffoli, but not for a rental.

    We were close :D
