What really would be funny is after all of this the kids come up next year and do well enough to end up 15th in nhl :D
Those of you that think this will never happen, Some of them are capable of that, we better keep them down another year.
-
They sure got him cheap for an AHL scoring leader
-
I still believe if he wins it all this year, he'll sign back with buffalo over the summer, i just have to believe
-
no worries, enorth will beat miller :D
-
The devils are not in better shape than us, their prospect pool is barren. But Jagr won't have that long left so it shouldn't matter to him :P
-
So glad we got miller traded before that :P
-
My two cents:
Murray can now do whatever he wants in the hockey department without having to go back PLF, no offense but murray was brought in to run things, PLF could give advice but the final call should always be the gm's.
But we shouldn't be to hars on all of them, maybe some conflicts showed up lately, but doubt there was any malice or ill wil from any side. PLF still seems like a great guy and a true sabres fan, lets not forget that. That being said, its weird he got his old job with the NHL back so quickly though.

well if Myers goes, erhoff stays its that simple for me :P
-
Well if they want Myers, they'll have to pay a huge price, im talking a 1st liner + prospect + 1st round 2015 pick is where you start.
During summer i would have said trade him, but his play lately doesn't want me to see him leave anymore.
-
Mike hoffman we'll get when we send moulson + stewart to the senators, that is the least we should get then.
-
I don't think there is much of a market to get the NHL ready players back in return, and nobody wants to help out this team become a contender in two years either.
-
I don't know about you guys but i want to see some more of of last nights back up goalie, he could prove to be a vital part to our tank next year.
-
In the end im happy with the returns, they did miller a favour by sending him to a contender.
And with brodeur and thomas most likely hitting the market, the time to do a deal was now. Don't think we could have gotten more out of any miller trade than this.

Upon taking a closer look, this kid has a ###### ton of upside. Something Murray said in his press conference tipped me off... he said that they considered him to be a first round talent that had injury trouble the year before his draft, which lowered his draft position. And it's true.
THW said he was top-30 initially, then lowered him only to 38th:
[/size]
CSS ranked him 18th among North American skaters in their Final 2013 Rankings, and listed him as an 'A' skater in their 2013 preliminary rankings (check out his peers in the 'A' category here). Those final rankings put him above Max Domi, above Zadorov, above Lazar, above Morin, and well above Compher and Bailey.
If TM knows his young talent, this could turn out to be a much bigger piece of the trade than it seems on the surface.
Pretty much my sentiments, TM even made me think he wanted him more than rattie.
-
Myers did as well, if he keeps this up murray will never trade him.
-
In an ideal world they win the cup with the blues and come back and sign with us. :P
But im going to miss Miller time for real, I liked him more than hasek even, says enough for me.
As for Ott i never really cared much for him, but am going to miss his attitude.
edit:just been watching the interviews.
Seeing how gutted Ryan miller is, I think if we are contending in 3yrs, he'll want to be back.
Ott we might have lost forever, The blues have so many hockey friends for him he'll hang around.
As to what is coming back, Carrier seems to be a prospect Murray was following alot, maybe was higher on his list than Rattie.
He clearly stated he expected him to be a 1st rounder last year, but that fell back because of injuries. This is someone he has had his eye on for some time.
Halak + Stewart well it can't hurt to have an extra NHL level goalie this season, but i hope enroth gets his shot at #1 and he played like one tonight.
Stewart to me is an asset he can turn around this or next trade deadline as well.
-
Maybe in couple of years he can be a target but not right now.

Especially last song keeps going on in my head lately.

The look on chara's face is priceless, this has made my day, i can go to sleep happy :D
-
Players get hurt, Olympics or not, so injuries aren't the real issue. They probably seek some sort of compensation for lending their players to the olympics.
-
Good luck to him over there then.
-
Great post. I would rather overpay Miller to avoid Goalie Purgatory than throw money at a player like Callahan. We can develop that player.
Zemgus !!!
I'd still sign callahan though, if he wants to play for the sabres, be at home and all that, he'll take 5.5 mill a year.
-
and the sabres pick Sam Bennet
-
Murray won't wow us untill next year. He'll make minor moves for cornerstone pieces to become a playoff team in two year.

oh and i can definately see Seatle and Q city being added by 2015 draft, they have the arena's , just need some financial backing wich won't be much of an issue in either city and we have 32 teams :D
Getting Mcdavid would be great, but to be honest, Crosby/malkin have only won it once while everyone thought they would have 3 times by now.
