I know that Lindy Ruff is a good coach. Bashing Leino is fine, but it's not really moving the conversation anywhere. He's here to stay and he is coming off of a bad season.

:blink: From what I saw the Chinese men were quite impressive. They won gold despite their best gymnast being injured. I just quit Best Buy and have twenty four days until I move to Montreal. I am eating, sleeping, and watching the Olympics for the next two weeks (with perhaps a bit of Skyrim and Team Fortress 2 here and there). I have a lot to say about the Olympics and will probably post a long ramble tomorrow.

I've been on vacation and I'm catching up on all the posts. Good to be back :beer: Florida is Vancouver's ideal trade partner. The deal that makes the most sense for Luongo is young talent and (if hockeysfuture is correct) Florida has one of the deepest prospect pools in the NHL. I like Vancouver and I wouldn't mind rooting for Doan + Kassian + Canucks to win the cup. If Buffalo's not winning the cup, I want it out West. Hear, hear! :beer: And to whomever thinks Doan is not worth the money, I urge you to shift your perspective. The cap hit is just a number and he is one hell of a hockey player.

Winning the Cup is more fun than putting up numbers in the regular season, unless you're Derek Roy.

I disagree with you (for once!). Nash is a monster and I think that he'll benefit hugely by playing with Gaborik and Richards.

If we win the cup, I want a statue of Darcy and Lindy hugging to be erected in front of the FN Center. Then right before the cup run one of us can bet GoDD to publicly worship it if/when we win the cup. And then you and sizzle and it's namesake can all worship the one of Marcus Foligno's jockstrap.

He suited up for 82 games in his rookie season and ran into a goalpost during his second. So far his skating and awareness have allowed him to avoid getting injured by bigger players. Hopefully that continues. Vanek playing with Pommer is tough for me to figure out. I believe that Vanek's play will improve if he doesn't have to be the biggest man on his line (just like Stafford's did). V-A-P worked well because Adam was the biggest man on that line and he opened up the ice for Vanek and Pommer. If they are going to play together, I want a big center in between them. We likely wont have a center like that until Grigorenko or Girgensons develops. In the mean time, I'd rather find a new RW for Vanek (Bobby Ryan, Shane Doan) and use Pommer in the shutdown role.

I agree that our roster has a lot of problems, but Darcy knows this too, and has been trying to sign the big free agents and trade for the big names. I have hope. If no other changes are made, at the very least this roster should be more fun to watch than last year's (that's not saying a lot).

I've got a source telling me that Doan just landed in Boca Raton. He's spending tonight through Tuesday morning at the Pegula's estate. E3 Doan definitely cried like a beotch. But that's because he really f*cking wanted that cup.

I don't blame Ruff for taking Adam off the top line, but I do blame him for sending Adam back down to the A right after the All Star Game. That would've been the perfect time to try to get Adam going again (not that it would've worked, I just would've tried it).

Two things about this: Luke Adam lost his confidence due to sucking at hockey, not due to Lindy Ruff. Why would we trade Luke Adam with his value at an all time low?
