  1. Pardy was a Kotalik style throw in, because Wah was injured. Thanks for always reminding everyone that trading Roy is addition by subtraction. And as for the top line, it's definitely not gritty, but I wouldn't call it soft.
  2. I think we need more sandpaper on the scoring lines. Still need a skilled power forward to play opposite Vanek. For the time being I really wanna see Grigs between Vanek and Pommer, but who doesn't?
  3. Regier also took the pink flower stickers off the outside of the cupboard, That's some scary center depth right there... I really hope Grigorenko makes the team. If we resign yoyo, have our "third" line be Hecht - Grigorenko - Pommer. Protect the youngin with defensively responsible smart wingers. Lines would shake up like this: Vanek - Hodgson - Leino Foligno - Ennis - Stafford Hecht - Grigs - Pommer assorted garbage I find myself agreeing with evil eleven a lot more than I was this summer... Crap. I don't know where Ott goes. These lines suck and there's not enough sandpaper.
  4. Just like I never want Romo and Sanchize to stop quarterbacking their respective teams, I never wanted Burke to get fired. Edit: I think I stole the Romo Sanchez thing from Taro, but that just makes it more true.
  5. I'd rather have Hecht than Jason Arnott, but that's about it.
  6. I was predicting it would be chz, but it was ink.
  7. Love the Pettine hiring. But it just makes me want poutine...
  8. I laughed. Way harder than I should've.
  9. Just a nitpick: Ellis does stick up for his teammates. I remember a game where I think Gerbe got boarded and hurt pretty bad and Ellis instantly started fighting the guy that did it and got an instigator penalty for it. I probably only remember it because the extra two made me so angry,
  10. I thought I saw Carp post like a week ago. I'm sure he'll be back. The charts must go on. Korab lives in my area, so every time I'm at the rink I feel like he's probably staring at me... He looks like Ron Jeremy right?
  11. Uh huh, Just like we know Hodgson is a bum because he played 20 games for us. It feels right to strongly disagree with you again.
  12. From what I've seen, Glennon can make all the throws, but definitely has questionable decision making and isn't very good in the pocket. That said, I haven't seen the inconsistency on short-intermediate throws that you see.
  13. Tropp is young and has more offensive upside than you guys are giving him credit for. Please tell me you wouldn't rather have McCormick or Ellis.
  14. Tropp would be easily 30 times better than any of our fourth liners. We have the easiest fourth line to play against in the league. I want a fourth line like the Devils had last year in the playoffs,
  15. Goalie prospects as pawns is a good metaphor. They start out small and inconsequential, but could always turn into a queen if developed correctly/because goalies take longer to develop.
  16. I've been watching a lot of condensed games of QB prospects on youtube, and I wouldn't mind Nassib. Tough, mobile, accurate, very quick release, and his throws are almost always perfect spirals. His down-field accuracy isn't perfect, though.
  17. Punctuate once!!!! And yes... we know... but it's the personal decision of fans if they want to go or not.
  18. Thanks, LTS. Glad to see you back  1000 posts without saying much. That's an accomplishment. :flirt:
  19. Yeah.
  20. And if we got rid of Vanek before letting him play with Grigorenko or Hodgson for an entire season, I would jump off a building.
  21. From everything I've read/heard about Doug Marrone (which has been a lot in the past 24 hours), I'm very excited about the hiring. I think he has what it takes to turn this franchise around. This hire coupled with our most talented roster in years, we could finally see a winning Bills team soon. I also hope he hires Scott Shafer as the DC. SU had an aggressive defense with creative blitzes, which I desire to watch very much after this last season's pressureless slog with Wannstache, You consistently made me feel better about this current season as it was happening, btw. Even though it was another lost season, thanks.
  22. To the first point: Great. I'm sure Lindy will love benching him. To the second: From what I've seen/heard of Brennan, he's at least way manlier than MAG is.
  23. I want him to do well for three reasons. 1) He's a Sabre 2) So everyone will shut up about him 3) Because I like him (yes, like that) Thanks, VM. I didn't know that about O'Reilly. I guess Liger wasn't wrong in suggesting we could pursue him.
  24. I hope Leino tears it the ###### up this season.
  25. I haven't heard that song in ages. Thanks, NS. As for the OP, I would take any good players regardless of where they're from?
