My dad sat next to Ruhwedel's parents at the game. But didn't learn anything about him, other than the fact that he played juniors for two years (my mom's the hockey fan, not my dad). His parents are nice though.

These next two games are big for the Sabres. I think they'll lose their last five (BOS, NYR, PIT, WIN, NYI), but this weekend they have a chance to lose to the two teams right behind them (PHI, TBL). Season of Ruin!

Stafford played well last night. He was trying and everything. Everyone will hate on his play unless he's scoring, which is fine, but get's old.

Vanek is 29, Yakupov is 10 years younger. Yakupov is a first overall pick with a pretty damn decent rookie season. Vanek + for Yakupov makes infinitely more sense.
