That's amazing. NS brainwashed Liger into thinking Jack Eichel is Ehlers. EDIT: Whhhhyyy change it that was hilarious.

There is no way Leino is not getting bought out.

NOW THAT HE'S CLOSE, KNEE HIM IN THE CROTCH AND RUN AWAY
-
If he's packaged with another player and a lesser pick maybe. Him performing well in his contract year will allow us to flip just him for a late 1st + a prospect maybe. I think 1sts will be hard to come by at next years deadline, though so maybe not.
-
I guess we don't have to panic then.

Stafford had a nice stretch in the middle of the season, but then he went back to being invisible and scoring every once in a while. Let him wear the C for the first ~50 games or so of his contract year until we flip him, why the ###### not.

That's what I like most about finishing last. No waiting to see if a good guy falls to us, no praying for lottery miracles. There's two really good forwards and we're at pick 2, unless we're at pick 1. This is my celebration post.

What if Tim Murray is too much of a dirty dope head to ice a competitive team?
-
He mentions Paul Gaustad by name as part of their leadership.

We still have Ramsey

I actually wanted him to score a goal. For the first time this year I was rooting for Ville Leino.

Did it thrice, got the Sabres once and the Oilers twice

Awesome episode. Oh and Blue, I'm 400 pages into the 5th one now, so shush you. I started getting heavily obsessed with ASOIAF when I got to the middle of the third book, because I was getting beyond my knowledge of events. Now that the show is back and we have such a terrific story to be told in the 4th season I'm even more obsessed. Whenever I'm not studying I'm reading the book. Whenever I'm driving or working I'm listening to the audio book. Every now and then I'll squeeze an episode of the 1st season for a slow rewatch. BUT WHY DO ALL MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS HAVE TO DIEEEEEEEEE. Rest, my sweet love.

Before reading the thread: Good game. Nice to see the fans and the players into it. Young D corp was fun to watch. Tyler Ennis, wowza. I was wrong about him earlier this year when I was counting him out for the future. Ennis was slippery around the boards, he was gritty, and he was setting up his line mates left and right. Great game. Mitchell is fast and tough. I wouldn't mind him on the 4th line next year. It was nice to see his hard work rewarded with a goal today. Pysyk was very solid and smooth today. Ristolainen had some trouble in his own end but looked great in the offensive zone. I'm fine with them both being in the AHL for the start of the next season, but Pysyk is definitely already an NHLer. McCabe is looking steadier than his first couple games, and played well with Pysyk. I was glad to see him calm down a little bit and not majorly interfere with everybody. I think Deslauriers will grow into a good 3rd liner. He had some decent mitts on display today, and not just when he was punchisizing people. I haven't seen enough of him to have a good read on his hockey smarts, but he seems to make the simple play and go hard. Matt Ellis scored 4 goals this year?!?!?! Hank has proven that he can still play hockey at an NHL level. But he can not skate at an NHL level. I'd rather look to another vet with more left in the tank next year. Love him, though. Good game for the last of the year, too bad those dirty Crylanders got us in the shootout.

Pretty sure whoever's calling this game is doing a line of coke every whistle.
-
Have you watched him play? He back checks and rarely takes the wrong guy. Dude has a complete game.
-
Keep signing Ott to one year deals until he can finally play in the playoffs on our team.
-
Reinhart doesn't play all 200 feet? Maybe he's not as aggressive or physical as Bennett, but he's solid defensively.
-
There's no such thing as a "healthy Lupul." It's pretty safe to say by now that he's injury prone. They also have the softest leadership in the entire NHL, capable of snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory.

At least with Zadorov we have the luxury of him being coached by one of the best coaches in juniors. Hunter would make sure Zadorov keeps growing as a player as much as possible. At this point I think tougher competition is the best thing for that, but I'm not Tim Murray/Ted Nolan (shocker!) so we'll see.
