    This is just not true. If I'm not mistaken, the start of the dumb stuff coincided pretty directly with a change in showrunners. Yup! Clyde Phillips left the show after season 4 to spend more time with his family. And if there's no way to keep the quality up, end the show.

    After watching Goodwin get injured every week playing ST, and watching Hogan play well in the past couple games, I still don't know what you have against him. It does seem to make more sense to play Mike Williams over him, but I think they prefer Hogan as the slot guy with Sammy and Rob outside.

    Hey Mr. eye test, did you watch Strachan play at all? Coming up with pointless stats doesn't demonstrate that advanced statistics are "wrong" somehow. It just shows that you don't understand how stats work, or more likely don't choose to understand, given your head for numbers. As long as we have forwards who don't know which end of the stick goes down, I'll continue to not worry about lack of offensive production from D-men.

    CENTERS DON'T HAVE TO LEARN THE WING. Wing has fewer responsibilities. The idea behind this is let Eichel, Grigorenko, and Girgensons play center with Reinhart on the wing at first. Why is this causing a Liger meltdown?

    You leave Leodis alone! Players make mistakes. Leodis muffed two kicks badly in his career. Yesterday he even came back on the next punt return and put the offense in prime location to score a TD. He's dumb, but he's a good football player. The funny thing about his punt return fumble yesterday is it came went he had the most space. He's been incredibly good this year at catching punts with players in his face and making them miss. And if people really think EJ can't develop, wow. Did any of you think Foles was going to become a starter in Philly?

    Drool. Even if it's not Carrier and Armia on our second line it could easily be Bailey, Baptiste, Hurley, Compher, or one of our other prospects that develops. Fasching, too.

    All centers can play wing. Not all wings can play center. And the SAT isn't a pass/fail exam. You're given a number score for colleges to judge.

    I was excited during the game even though I have no faith in the team this year. How can you not love watching that defense? The line was incredible today. Dareus, Mario, Kyle, and Hughes compliment each other so well. Dareus and Mario are freaks of nature. Unstoppable beasts. Hughes is the speed and Kyle is the backbone.

    Ennis doesn't have the best hockey IQ, but his quickness/hands are top notch. If we can play him as a second line winger and actually build a line/team around him, that'd be fine. He's a complimentary piece on a team full of complimentary pieces, doesn't mean he's garbage. He's certainly not a 3rd liner.

    The second fumble was after he was down by contact, so not a fumble. To the bolded: I think we're coming from similar places here. I think the conservative offensive coaching in the first 8 games of the season facilitated weak execution on offense. Today in the red zone we called the right plays, the players just didn't execute. Their lack of experience in putting away drives was on display. The stat graphic on TV said that we were 29th in red zone efficiency. Blech.

    Bills just lost a crucial game that hurt their chances at playoff contention big time. The Sabres were going to be terrible this year no matter what. We all have to watch the Sabres be terrible. Screaming and crying about "the tank" in every thread is so old. That's what man up means on a message board. This is what my brother was saying after the game today. I wonder if TP would do it after the debacle of doubling down on Lindy and Darcy.

    With a mediocre qb and scared coaching i never thought this team was gonna make the playoffs. Today was a pivotal loss for those reasons. Orton played well enough to win, though, that's definitely true.
