I hate watching knee injuries. But man did I enjoy watching Big Ben go down and cry his way off the field.

Fake extra point 2-point conversions never happen, and I would think that having an extra ~15 yards of field to work with would actually make fakes easier to design.

I think Foligno and Larsson are very comparable at this point in their careers. While Foligno gives size and experience, Larsson gives consistency and a well rounded game. They've both had unsustainable scoring streaks in their young careers (it's still possible for Larsson to be that good, but I'm not betting on it). I think Larsson will be considered the clearly better player by year's end.

Good call, but Franson doesn't really fill the hole of a solid second pairing guy. And even if we did have another solid second pairing guy our defense would be barely average. OTOH, after watching the last couple seasons with decent D and nothing at F I'm fine with seeing what our team can do with a full compliment of real forwards. Forwards drive puck possession, so I expect lotsa goals both ways.

In a couple years, this roster is going to be good enough to have Zemgus on the 3rd line. Scary.

I was just complimenting my Hawks fan friend the other day about how I agree with not locking up Seabrook long term. Oh well.

To be fair, most of the time that I've read trade Larsson talk it was related to improving our tepid defensive depth.

I was driving home from Oswego tonight. Just had a very pleasant weekend with my girlfriend. A drive that normally takes ~2 hours and 20 minutes took me over 4 hours because I kept stopping to find a quiet place to watch the moon. When the full eclipse happened and the moon was gone it got a little bit cloudy. I listened to music while I waited and had myself a little 1-man silent disco in a vineyard overlooking Seneca Lake until the blood moon came out. Its little peeks through the clouds felt like the sun was teasing me. Great night.

A lot of those times were with the commentary on, with my friends and I speaking freely over it (a ritual we must accomplish twice a year or so). Game of Thrones is currently 50 hours of hit and miss TV, whereas LotR is ~12 hours of a tight, focused expertly told story. LotR is Good vs. Evil, whereas AsoIaF is aboots shades of gray and showing a variety of POVs and such. One will never supplant the other in my heart, plenty of room for both. Disagree. Even though it's different, I love Viggo's Aragorn so much. Faramir and Sam are two amazing characters from the books that didn't really get a direct adaption. The movie versions are good, but not amazing.

Swords of a Thousand Men makes me think of the Iron Throne from the books that's literally made out of over a thousand swords.

As long as we use the version LTS posted I'm happy. It's the only song I voted for.
