  1. I love Lindy. It makes me so happy to see him behind the bench. The Stars and the Oilers are the West teams I'm tryna keep an eye on this year.
  2. Hot Daniel wasn't fist pumping, Jacker was just off camera.
  3. Is it really redundant to have too many centers who are good 2 way players? Our team turns into matchup hell for our opponents once the youngins aren't youngins. Eichel, Reinhart, and O'Reilly are the 3 man core of our forwards in the future.
  4. I just want to know when he will become the new Great Wall of Sweden (2nd best Swedish goaltender in the world).
  5. I've never bought in much to sports "cultures." It always reads like fans judging entire franchises based on results. I doubt the "rotten core" was okay with losing, they just weren't a well put together squad.
  6. I think "swagger" is what you're referring to. We had John Scott, after all.
  7. Great post, Hoss. And I'm going to pull a d4rk here and say that I always thought/posted that Des will develop into a steady third liner. Larsson - Zemgus - Deslauriers is an impossible to play against third line
  8. "To quote myself"
  9. Just once, I want to watch Moulson take a shot while standing still in the offensive zone. I am so sick of watching him forecheck only to reach the puck a split second too late. Larsson and Foligno created a lot of space for Eichel, but he's not yet ready to single handedly lug the mail yet. If HD really doesn't want to see Eichel and Moulson together, why not reunite last year's top line? Moulson - Girgensons - Ennis would be a decent choice if you want to roll 4 lines. Legwand with a beautiful play on the game-winner. Glad Samson was able to pot another one. I don't mind letting Samson play on the 4th line, because even those guys know how to play hockey. I really liked Foligno's play tonight. He doesn't cough it up anywhere near as much as he used to. Didn't like Deslauriers on the top line again. He needs to get a lot fewer minutes, 16:46 TOI is absurd. Only O'Reilly (20:46), Ennis (20:51), and Zemgus (17:05) had more ice time among forwards. Ullmark was very impressive. I expected HD to ride the hot hand, and was not disappointed. Rasmus was excellent tonight. Forwards thought twice before entering his corner of the ice, and that stretch pass to spring Moulson was seeeeick.
  10. Me too, it's fantastic :)
  11. Having had my fear of the dark recently return to me, being scared. I'd rather be smarter than my imagination.
  12. I watched Jacob's Ladder. Not a horror movie... more of a pschological thriller, but there's some up Beautiful movie. Incredibly well shot.
  13. Jacker
  14. We've has honeys to his right, hoes to his left.
  15. Ehrhoff flipped a puck over the boards to me one time. I gave it to a little kid, but he didn't seem to care that much. STUPID LITTLE KID YOU GO OLD GUY! GET IT!
  16. "HEY ENNIS IS YOUR WIENER OK? Also, stop taking such lazy shots, Jack." *run away*
  17. Is coke one of those drugs where you continue to get high even hours after you take it?
  18. That GIF is amazing.
  19. As much as the franchise doesn't deserve McDavid, their fans definitely deserve him.
  20. Moulson made his living playing with Tavares. I honestly don't think it's that important for the finisher on a line to have blazing speed. Good call Weave.
  21. Many of us now have the blood of Storms and Rainbows both.
  22. This is a fun team to watch without its 3rd best forward, 2nd best defenseman, and starting goaltender. I'm very excited for when we get our guys back.
  23. A Leaf said something along the lines of "The word on Eichel is out: if you try to go at him he'll make you look silly." Jack has to make his first adjustment in the NHL. Players are staying in their lanes and Jack is getting frustrated. Instead of keeping the puck longer and creating space by moving around the perimeter, Jack is trying to exploit the space by forcing the play. A lot of his shots/sauces were knocked down harmlessly by the D tonight. He'll figure it out. I am sick of the Nick Des on the top line experiment. 2 games is plenty, it's run its course. McGinn should be playing up a line instead of Nick. I didn't like the way Hot Daniel utilized the forwards tonight. Larsson - O'Reilly - Reinhart Moulson - Eichel - Foligno McGinn - Girgensons - Gionta Deslauriers - Legwand - Schaller These lines are more balanced. I think they adjust for the loss of Ennis more effectively. Legwand played a great game tonight. He's been solid all year, but tonight his excellent hockey IQ shined through almost every shift. He consistently made the quick easy pass to a player in stride heading up ice. His passing game was on point, as well as getting many dangerous shots to the net. Great move by HD to get him on the ice at the end of the game. Our penalty killing isn't aggressive enough. I know Johnson is in net, but with all of our quality defensive forwards, there's no excuse for how terrible the PK has been. I think the main problem stems from the fact that we don't pressure the half wall, like at all. Teams have way too easy a time hitting the pass through the middle of our zone. This game was a blast. Our guys took a lot of poor shots, as many here have pointed out, but they skated hard and scared the crap out of the tired Pens. Risto, McCabe, and Pysyk all had nice showings again. Best game by Weber so far, good for him. Girgensons looked more like himself this game. I don't think he and Moulson mesh at all, unfortunately. Gionta was bad bad bad.
