are the Sabres Cup Contenders in 23/24 in any of the following scenarios? a) Trade for Hellebuyck b) Trade for Gibson c) Trade for Hart d) Roll with Levi and UPL Assuming the cost for any doesn't include a roster player outside of Joker or Olofsson

I guess they could just waive Comrie and Bryson and have 8 Dmen, 13 forwards and 2 Goalies I thinking (maybe hoping) that Olofsson and Joker are traded, along with a B level prospect and some draft picks, before camp opens in Sept.

assuming both wanted to go back to their existing teams...well lets assume Andersen did and Pittsburgh gave an offer that no way Buffalo was going to go near, then you have to travel down the trade route. Jets will trade Helleybuck, just a matter of when and the Ducks will more than likely trade Gibson. Boston still has to sort out their goalie situation. Calgary will have 3 goalies. saros is still a possibility but the price would be EXTREMELY high to get him this year. I'm sure there will be a couple of other goalies available

out of curiosity, what goalie would you have brought in.? I had my eyes on 2 Hill and Andersen and neither made it to Free Agency

replacing Bryson and Clague....heck even moving Joker off the 2nd pair is a HUGE improvement. Bryson alone as a minus 24 in 59 games and averaged and barely played 10 mins per game Goaltending wasnt great BUT IF they had another dman instead of Bryson, they would have made the playoffs. I

Would love to see the leafs extend a 30+ Helleybuck for 8 years -$9 mill contract. You don’t know that. TNT, Mitts and Dahlin still have room to grow

He knows how important it is to have a vet goalie to sit next to Levi in the locker room i fully expect a trade to be made. Think they will have a real close look at Gibson I also think they will bring in Hanifan The fit is too good He has history with Granato, correct ?

And pray Helleybuck doesn’t get injured Joker would be a good fit for the jets . UPL still could turn out to be a very good goalie and a high draft pick…giving up Rosen or Östlund seems like a massive overpayment but one the Sabres can afford

Trying to figure out the Preds will Saros be available ? Rumour that they would have traded Askarov at the draft (mtl fans are furious their GM didn’t accept the trade) if they are willing to trade Askarov are they thinking of a quick, on the fly rebuild, and extending Saros? if so , is Askarov a guy you could pair with Levi for the next 7-10 years?
