  1. That day will come, there is no doubt in my mind. It’s not quite the middle of August, let’s see how this plays out
  2. As of Aug 11th there are now Days until puck drop. oh what could have been if Brandon didn’t suffer like most others under Ralph 🤮 the only Sabres to ever wear 62. His time with Buffalo was way too short, played one full season with them and parts of 2 others. Now a legit star with Florida.
  3. As of Aug 10th there are Days until the Sabres season begins Sabres Icon Tyler Ennis, the only player to ever wear 63 for them
  4. As of August 9th there are Days until puck drop #64 is David Moravec who played 1 game for the Sabres in the 99-00 season Drafted in the 8th round in 1998 by the Sabres Had a good career in hockey playing 575 games over 13 seasons in the Czech league now is an assistant coach with the Czechia u17 national team Edit. Should add the only player to ever wear 64 in a regular season game for Buffalo
  5. Yea I believe gas prices can fluctuate widely within Ontario. I believe the closer to the border the cheaper gas prices are Niagara Falls is about $1.61 right now, Burlington $1.63 and a place like Timmins it’s over $1.70. Expensive no matter how you look at it. Price difference is due to taxes Is it worth it ? Do we get value from all those extra tax $$. That’s the billion $ question I suppose
  6. Did you convert the currency? I believe gas prices here in Burlington are about $1.65 / litre which would convert to $5.87 /gallon in Canadian in US$ it’s $4.38 per gallon
  7. Talking about Columbus , hard to believe a team that finished 2nd last has been so pro-active this summer while Adams has basically sat on his hands on done nothing. Not sure how anyone can be optimistic going into this season. 🤷‍♂️
  8. You are correct! I absolutely have no recollection of him being a Sabres. In 1987, Napier got traded along with Lee Fogolin to the Buffalo Sabres for Normand Lacombe and Wayne Van Dorp. his last 2 seasons in the NHL were with the Sabres. Retired a 2 time Stanley Cup winner He is most recognized for his time with the Canadians
  9. I thought every thread eventually turns into an Adams thread ,,, Usually the same people regurgitating their arguments over and over and over and ….
  10. As of Aug 8th there are Days until the Sabres season begins this one is for the old guys on the site. Truth be told I don’t remember him at all, playing for the Sabres see if anyone knows who this is …..
  11. Nope, was definitely over my head ’stone cold’ Brady Austin
  12. The above is Brady Austin who now plays for Kölner Haie of the DEL league in Germany
  13. as of Aug 7 there are Days until puck drop interesting that no Sabres has ever worn 66 The above pic is of Seantrel Henderson. A 7th round pick in 2014 who started all 16 games for the Bills that year He played for the Bills from 2014-2017 unfortunately, he suffered from Crones disease. He was suspended multiple times due to his use of marijuana to help deal with the pain of the disease. He later ran into injury issues and was never able to duplicate the success he had in his rookie campaign . Now plays for Saskatchewan of the CFL
  14. Hint #3. He is 6’4 and was drafted out of the OHL Here are the teams he played for 11-12 Belleville Bulls OHL 68 6 20 26 59 -1 12-13 Belleville Bulls “A” OHL 64 8 15 23 22 16 13-14 Belleville Bulls “A” OHL 7 1 4 5 6 2 London Knights “A” OHL 60 8 20 28 36 49 14-15 Rochester Americans AHL 66 1 9 10 31 -16 Elmira Jackals ECHL 1 0 0 0 0 0 15-16 Rochester Americans AHL 72 2 9 11 37 -2 16-17 Buffalo Sabres NHL 5 0 0 0 4 0 Rochester Americans AHL 72 4 8 12 59 -10 17-18 Cleveland Monsters AHL 65 6 17 23 42 2 18-19 Stockton Heat AHL 2 0 0 0 0 -4 Esbjerg Energy Denmark 18 3 6 9 51 8 19-20 Rytíři Kladno Czechia 52 18 25 43 26 -12 20-21 Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod KHL 50 4 10 14 39 -3 21-22 Tappara Liiga 52 4 9 13 38 21 22-23 Kölner Haie DEL 56 9 16 25 31 1
  15. NHL.com team preview. Trigger alert. For those who get triggered when you hear others showing optimism in regards to the coming season - All 3 of the writers have the Sabres in the playoffs( 2 of them written in Sharpie) , so Watch at your own discretion https://www.nhl.com/video/buffalo-sabres-season-preview/t-277350912/c-18230556
  16. Hint #2. Drafted 7th round in 2012. Played 5 regular season games with Sabres and over 140 with Rochester
  17. Hopefully the barn door is now open and we will see more trade im still in the camp that Hanifan is a Sabres by the time camp opens
  18. Sometimes I think your beef is with fans who are optimistic and are excited for the season. Can you not let someone who is “looking forward to the season with a belief that the Sabres are in a position to succeed” be? Why do you feel the need to tear that person down?
  19. As of August 6th there are Until puck drop ill be really impressed if you can name this player without help of the internet
  20. As of August 4th days until puck drop
  21. Here is one for the ladies to appreciate https://instagram.com/stories/poltap1311/3160724177537823462?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  22. Interview of my man Poltapov. I still believe he is going to play an important role for the Sabres in a couple of years … PROKHOR POLTAPOV: I'M PREPARING FOR THE SEASON LIKE NEVER BEFORE The striker of the CSKA club Prokhor Poltapov told about how he conducts pre-season training with Zvezda. — From the first days of the preseason, it caught my eye that you gained muscle mass, returned from vacation in very good shape. Are you working on it? Do you want to add to the power, in the power struggle next season? — It seems to me that this is more the growth of the body, for the second year I have been playing with men and have already "beaten" with them, I have matured a little. Plus, it really won't hurt in a power struggle. — Everyone appreciated the video from the training camp, where you do great jumping exercises. Are you doing just as well with the other? Or are there any unloved ones? — I think everyone's least favorite exercises at the training camp are running. But there's no way without it, it's pre-season training, you're laying the foundation for the whole season. I hope I'm doing well with all the exercises. — Although your vacation started only in May, there was a tough playoff, it seems that you have plenty of energy. How did you manage to recharge so quickly? — I think it still something childish plays in me (laughs). When the season ends, I immediately start to miss all the working staff. In addition, we finished the season on a good note, so I want to prepare well so that next year will end just as positively. — Last year you reached a new level, but next year your rivals will be watching you more closely. Ready for this? And to the fact that the demand will be higher from you now? — Of course, I'm ready. I would like the demand to be higher, and that the rivals, going out on the ice, concentrate more, remembering something of the past. That's why I'm preparing for the season like never before.
