He NEEDS to make a big move. The time is now. I understand it’s tough to get other teams to jump at this time and maybe he has to overpay but they need another high end forward with some grit

Holy crap. Looking at the lines and we are already back to a 2 line team 10 games into the season. my confidence in this one just severely took a big hit

I see the evolving Buffalo dude is going to do a deep dive into his game. I don’t see a comparison to Olofsson at all, except for a lethal shot

He is not Olofsson at all. He is much more involved and built like a tank

I love reading the emotional rollercoaster that some posters go through in a season. in especially looking forward to the “time to trade Power” thread that someone will soon create. No doubt that we will age about as well as the trade Mitts, Thompson and Dahlin threads did as for tonight, Leafs are a 4 man top heavy team with lots of problems among their defenders. hopefully DG doesn’t anchor Cozens with a couple of AHL / NHL tweeners and we get something of a top 9 going also would be good if DG reminds them that the game starts at 7pm!

This is right. The thing that made it exciting going into the season was that we thought the Sabres had a top 9 and a decent 4th line that would create energy the 3rd line last night was Biro - Cozens - Rousak. Who got absolutely run over last night. you can’t blame injuries either. Though admittedly losing Quinn has sent a ripple throughout the line up so the team we (I) thought was deep is actually razor thin time for GMKA to get something done. He has cap space , he has a plethora or prospects and he has draft capital.

This team is Lindy at home and Ruff on the road

I hardly see playoffs happening. Certainly don’t look like a team that would make any noise if they some how proved me wrong. Kids need to grow up fast and they need to find a couple of vets, who can still play, to help supplement the youth

At 5v5 His corsi was 60, his eGF% was 64. There were 5 high danger chances when he was on the ice vs 2 against he was hardly a problem

If they don’t bring their game tomorrow , it’s time to really think about the future of DG

Not sure this is true. Just happened to be on the ice when the Flyers scored he was one of the few positive players on the team 5v5 tonight and his line probably deserved a better outcome

the cozens , Biro , Rousek line was a disaster Biro had a cors of 20. 0 high danger shots while on the ice vs 7 against (highest of the team). Thompson line was good. the 4th line was actually pretty good when looking at fancy stats.

I just can’t blame the goalie after tonight’s effort. Was he good? No. Was the team in front of him terrible? Yes in all aspects of the game it’s amazing, the depth of the Sabres forwards were being lauded prior to the season 10 games in a- they have a 4th line that has 2 goals between them. And a 3rd line with Biro and Rousek on it. it’s not like they are being depleted by injuries
