I'll never understand people who think top 6 winger is a priority when Jokiharju is on the 2nd defensive pairing

Talking about roster - Without Dahlin in the lineup, is there a worse defensive core than the Sabres ? The Sharks perhaps?

When does Dahlin come back? It will be L's until he does. Even then , it may take him a few games to get back to 100%, just like at the beginning of the season.

Adams needs to be fired tomorrow i honestly think the Sabres need to rid themselves of anyone and everyone that contributed to the Eichel fallout that ***** still stinks around the league. Players and agents haven't forgotten how he was treated by the organization the only hope is a full reset of the front office. Without change in ownership, I don't know if it's enough but it would be a start Adams downfall will be 1) not letting eichel get the surgery 2) not finding Power a partner 3) Eric Comrie 4) paying his core before he had to. Only Tage has exceeded its value

Seems crazy that winning 3 or 4 games in a row would get them into the playoffs. Then again winning 3 or 4 in a row seems equally as crazy without Dahlin, I would say winning 4 in a row is a lot crazier

It would get him off the ice for good by waiving him. A place where he does not belong. I just can no longer handle seeing him in a Sabres uniform. Same with Bryson If trading CozEns brings in a top 4 RHD , I'm all for it. I just think if you trade Cozens now, you are trading him at a low point Not to mention, there is a good hockey player in there with cozens, we've all seen it. At this point Dahlin probably should ask for a raise if he didn't get hurt vs Colorado, there wouldn't be a 7 game losing streak, there would not be a disastrous GM press conference and,IMHO, they'd be in the wild card spot tonight However, he did get hurt, injuries happen to all clubs and the GMs in ability to bring in an NHL calibre depth on the backend has doomed them...once again You need NHL vets to fill out the roster, especially when your top 3 dmen have an avg age of 23. Different all together, but I boycotted the Sabres yesterday. Watched basketball and then the football. Didn't log onto this site or read any Sabres related stuff on X unfortunately, I looked at the score when it got to half time and there was 7 mins to go in a 2-2 game, so I watched from that point on. I have to say, watching the Sabres for 7mins plus the OT was the worst part of my day I would recommend ignoring the Sabres to anyone and everyone.

I totally disagree. You can't win with both Jokiharju and Bryson playing in your top 6 stabilize the D. Let Power create offense, like the stats show he can and scoring will follow. not that I wouldn't want another scorer as well but top 4 dman is the priority I was talking about Risto who is 6'4. They have plenty of cap room to add a quality top 4 dman, especially if you move out Jokiharju. Cap going up and you have Clifton coming off the books at the end of the season (I believe) in Columbus they attribute the the year Werenski is having to playing along side Provorov (stay at home dman) at this point, Adams needs to overpay to bring in another top 4 dman. they also should find a low cost vet bottom pair guy who can kill penalties. Take that responsibility totally away from Power

My next crusade is to defend Owen Power. Another HUGE failure is not to get him a legit partner to play with Luke Hughes, very similar profile to Power get Pesce and Power get Jokiharju??? The Sabres are the franchise that ruined Risto. Taking an offensive minded dman to become something he wasn't - a shut down defender. Just because he is 6'4. they almost ruined Dahlin, thankfully Granato and Dahlins pure ability saved him. Probably still not the player he could havd been if he had anyone to mentor him. Closest thing they had was Johnson last season now they are trying the same thing with Power. He is never going to be a shut down type. He's never going to be out there laying people out. BUT that doesn't mean he isn't a valuable piece. Let him be an offensive force. the time is now. Boot both Jokiharju and Bryson to the curb and bring in a proper d partner that can allow Owen to create offence while his partner supports him. Sabres fans are always quick to want to run out their players who are / will be good out of town The list is long Eichel, Dahlin, Mitts and the most egregious one of all Samson Reinhart Time to realize it's the Brysons and Jokiharjus of the world that need to go and replaced by legit Vet NHL dmen
