  1. When a player is an RFA, what does the FA stand for?
  2. I'm with you. Tired of it al, especially on game day threads. I guess misery truly does love company. I honestly can't understand how anyone can watch the Sabres this season and not be in a positive frame of mind when you consider how they looked under Granato
  3. Here's the thing you fail to accept . 2 things need to be true in order for a team to give up a top 6 scorer 1) has to be a free agent at the end of the current season; 2) the team needs to be out of playoff contention This is true of every goal scorer traded since at least 2019-20 On top of that, most of the upcoming Free Agents have NMCs in their contracts, which Buffalo is always on You are asking Adams to do the impossible with few teams are out of contention right now. Not only that,if you look at the upcoming UFA list, I ask you, who exactly is top 6 forward you would target? Hockey trades just don't happen anymore
  4. They are 6-3-1 in their last 10. Why would anyone have dispair. I know you are not talking about yourself. the rest of your post is spot on
  5. Seriously they lost a game they deserved better from vs Minny and came back from 3-1 down vs Vancouver they combine for a record of 19-3-3 on the road. A lot of teams have lost at home to them and a bunch will make the playoffs it's like a huge part of the Sabres fan base has zero clue of what's going on in the league
  6. You sure about that? Why do people say the stupidest stuff without doing any investigation. First team I looked at was the Washington capitals last season in Nov they had a 3 game losing streak, in Dec they had a 4 game losing streak and in January they lost 7 in a row
  7. 1 point out of the playoffs, with a game in hand vs the team above you and it's almost time to give up ?
  8. Yep , there is no way you trade a piece like JJP, Quinn or Kulich for a guy who could become dead weight in the very near future. Father Time catches up with everyone, including a soon to be 34 year old Chris Krieder
  9. Maybe it's a good job he didn't listen to your advice? I have a great idea, why not sell off all their pieces to get to last place and then draft a couple of top line players for a couple of years ???
  10. Quinn Hughes is made for 3v3 hockey great to see them make the comeback Of course getting the 2 points would have been better but overall, not a bad result pretty entertaining game overall I'm not disappointed at all thought the effort was good To get 3 vs the Canucks goalie is actually doing something The guy was doing his best Hasek imitation vs Boston the other night and was excellent again today there is a reason his GAA is about 2.5 and Gustavsson is around 2GA/G
  11. If only they had a way to measure how good a team is. Maybe like awarding points for wins? it's a Wild theory (see what I did there) but if I use wins and loses as a measuring stick they are 3rd best in the league.
  12. Because you got shut out? It happens to every team. The puck didn't bounce their way tonight Overall, they are 13th in goals per game. That's with Quinn, just starting to get back to himself and missing a few games without Tage Not to mention the PP finally resembling a legit NHL unit that should score some goals it's not a moral victory but there is no denying that they win way more than they lose by playing the way they did tonight
  13. Gonna have a games like this. Great opponent, goaltender was dialed-in come with that effort every night, you are gonna win a lot more than you lose on to the next one
  14. Rasmus has that F-this, we aren't going to lose this game look to him tonight
  15. I can't believe what some people would give up for a 33 year old player. and you are absolutely right "why is he available?" Now trading for Jiricek makes a lot of sense for both teams
  16. I pretend I didn't read this.... The regret for trading away Poltapov would be extremely high in a few years , especially for a guy who is at the end of his career
  17. Let's try to remember he just turned 22 the other day Still extremely young for an NHL dman It's very rare for a dman his age to be good at both ends of the ice I have little doubt that he will become much better defensively as gets older You know what they say "the best ability is availability"
  18. Not sure about Robinson. He's doing really well in Carolina on a line with Necas and has 5 goals and 8 assists
  19. Just like in LA, hats off to the goaltender and to the PK units. Nothing pretty but hard work got the job done on the road trip
  20. Not to pile on Jeff Skinner but I will..... he has now lost spots next to mcdavid and Draisaitl on the Oilers top 2 lines today he is set to play on the 3rd line next to Adam Henrique. Once Hyman comes back, I have a feeling Jeff will have to find a comfy seat in the press box.
  21. I'm 100% guilty thinking both would be good. I remember going to a few Kitchener Rangers games to watch Bailey thinking he was destined to be a star
  22. And how many zone exits? How many tape to tape passes, leading to scoring chances? He's 22, give him time to improve defensively I'm starting to think Quinn already has gotten a lot better. Was fantastic last night after a few games of being pretty good !
