This if from Future Considerations about Kylington. He doesnt really get a lot of minutes per game. think under 10 - so I would be careful just looking at his stats. "Exceptionally poised, mature, two-way defenseman…handles the puck well and likes to join the rush…plays with impressive confidence and is absolutely fearless with the puck on his stick…doesn’t possess a bomb of a shot, but knows how to put the puck on target...quite impressive top speed and acceleration, especially in offensive situations…not overly big and has some defensive positioning issues to sort out…minute-munching ability as this kid just has ice water flowing through his veins" My Guess at this point the Top 10 plays out 1) McDavid 2) Eichel 3) Hanifan 4) Marner 5) Strome 6) Barzal 7) Kylington 8) Svechnikov 9) White 10) Zacha

The only thing Pi$$ing me off as much as the Sabres not having a perfect record in the Carrion is the fact that the Blues continue to win in the NHL - I would have thought 3 injured centres would set them back a bit. From what little I've seen of them i can say Tarasenko is a real player.

Look who is hot now - back to back hat tricks for Marner this weekend - a feat only done once by Patrick Kane in his 62 goal season with the Knights and never done by Corey Perry in his career there. I honestly believe he may end up being 3rd behind McDavid and Eichel. In his last 3 games Marner has 7 Goals and 2 Assists - not quite McDavid pace but...

went to see my 2nd OHL game of the season last night and for the 2nd time the best player on the ice was a Sabres Prospect. Game 1 Bailey was head and shoulders above everyone else and last night it was Baptiste. In the 3rd period he dominated with 1G and 2 assists. He also sent in a team mate for a clear cut breakaway with a perfect lob pass that wasn't converted into a goal. Here are the highlites: http://www.ontarioho...3e055c74d93d707 For those close enough - McDavid and Strome visit the new Meridian Centre in St. Catharines on Thursday night - really nice new arena.

color me Giddy! Don't know why anyone would be tough on Terry. Its takes guts to allow his team to be stripped of all its so called "stars" and receive draft picks in return. Its takes financial commitment to know his building may not be full for a few years with no chance to make money off lucrative play-off games. It takes thick skin to know his team will plummet to last place and become the laughing stock of the league. How is the Tank not better than year after year of spinning your wheels in mediocrity? If you like being a team chasing 8th place year after year and getting nowhere ill introduce you to the Toronto Maple Leafs - now there is an ownership group that should be criticized. One day the Laughing Will Stop. -

I think TM is a genius - everything he has done has been with the goal of finishing in dead last. The re-hiring of Nolan is brilliant, his "play hard" message can get a team only so far. Lets me honest - if it wasn't for Hasek we probably wouldn't even remember his name. he bought out the best Dman and broght in 2 guys from Mtl who are character players but definitely wont help with the Sabres biggest weakness - puck possession and goal scoring. Moulson may even be a 3rd line vet in 2 or 3 years once the prospects are ready to push him for playing time. There is no way you can say that the Kings won the trade for McNabb. Lets wait a couple of years and see what happens with Fashing. In regards to Reinhart - you would think we would have learnt a lesson about trying to judge an 18 year old in his first 9 games with Grigerenko. Druin just spent last year back in the ``Q`` now he is on a line with Stamkos. Would you consider him a bust???

Bruins could end up in a wild card battle with the Islanders. Once (if) we get some seperation from the Canes - the Islanders games are the only ones I will be cheering for the Sabres. I think we just have to put our hate for other teams aside for this one year. Let them win the battle but eventually we will win the War.

GDT: 10/28/14 Sabres vs Leafs 7:30 P.M.
Crusader1969 replied to Wyldnwoody44's topic in The Aud Club
If they bring up the better players from Rochester more of a chance the Sabres may win a couple of games - not in the plans. If he really wanted to win this year he would have fired Nolan in the off-season. Murray has said in the past that winning the Calder Cup is important to him. Until injuries hit I don't see the line-up changing. -
I couldn't care less what he does in 15-16. What does he do in 17-18 and then for the following 10 years? How many Sabres that line-up for them on the weekend are still wearing the blue and gold in 2016?? Here is one for you? what do you propose the Sabres do at this point? and what would you have done differently over the last 3 years???
-
This qoute is embarrasing. you are writing off Reinhart after 8 games played in the NHL at 18? You would have thought that people would have learned a lesson with Grigerenko that not many players jump into the NHL at 18 and do much of anything.

Id like to Add 2018 to 2018-2028 perennial Cup contenders.

GDT: 10/28/14 Sabres vs Leafs 7:30 P.M.
Crusader1969 replied to Wyldnwoody44's topic in The Aud Club
This is a HUGE game - I'm nervous already. Hopefully the Leafs come out and show some pride and skate the Sabres out of the rink. We need a 5 point seperation from us and them. -
How much offense is created by a guy like Doughty? If you draft 3rd Hanifin is the pick end of story. He will lead the Power Play, he will skate the puck out of the D zone allowing the team to retain possession of the puck, he plays physical. Lets also not jump the gun saying Reinhart isn't or wont be elite. I'll be as disappointed as anyone if the Sabres don't draft 1st or 2nd but the Tank wont be a total disaster if we end up 3rd.
-
if they trade Myers then a guy like Hanifin would be what is needed. Plus I don't think saying no forwards is quite accurate either. They took Reinhart, Lemieux, Cornel, Karabacek in top 2 rounds last year. Compher, Hurley Bailey and Baptiste in 2013. Grigorenko and Girgensons in 2012 and Armia in 20111. I can't forget the Swedish Stamkos either! Throw in Fashing and assuming a high end forward prospect for Myers, plus 2 more 1st and 3 seconds next year - hardly Anti-Edmonton. That said - still prefer McDavid or Eichel just preparing for the worst (but not so bad possibility of drafting 3rd)
-
im starting to think that if we end up with Hanifan it won't be that bad, especially if we can flip Myers for a winger like Larkin or Mantha. I know I am probably trying to soften the blow if we don't in fact land either Eichel or McDavid but 3 centres of the future - Rienhart, Grigs and Z may actually be elite all by themselves. "Hanifin is a shade under 6-foot-3 and weighs 205 pounds. The scouting report says he has world-class wheels, elite offensive skills, can run a power play and use his size effectively to play physically when it's required. He's not quite as big as Nashville Predator Seth Jones, the last prospect, before Hanifin, who went into his NHL draft year billed as the next great American defenceman. Some scouts like Hanifin better than Jones at the same stage of development"
-
So you are saying not to draft anyone from the #1 talent pool in the world?
