I think we will be in the mix for #1 next year too, no matter if we get McDavid or Eichel. though I don't think we will be winning the CHL, just a contender.

Im looking for the Sabres not to lose grip on 1st place in the leauge. What odds to you put on them going right to the wire withouth losing their grip on 1st place? im thinking 85% to 90% sure. Look at the victories on the horizon - @Ducks, @Kings, @ Sharks, @ Leafs , Bruins, @ Penguins, Red Wings, Canadians, Oilers. More about Bailey - he is basically a 1 man show for the Rangers. 8 of the teams 30 goals = 27% and has points on 43% of the teams goals. Could you imagine what he would be putting up if he played with Erie? Dude playing wing for McDavid in his first year in the OHL has 9 goals already. Shame Bapitiste hasn't played yet - it would be fun to watch them compete for the most goals by Sabres prospect.

Bring him up once we clinch 1st place - not a day before. Then back down to compete in the AHL playoffs. I would do the same with McCabe and maybe even send Risto down for Pysyk

I went to see Brendan Lemieux and Justin Bailey on Friday night in Kitchener. I can honestly say Bailey was the best player on the ice bar-none. He created so many chances, caused havoc with his speed and has one hell of a snapshot. Lemieux scored a PP goal off a nice deflection standing in front of the net - something it seems the Sabres could really use.

God I hate that argument about tanking not working in Edmonton - For every Edmonton I can give you Tampa Bay, Chicago, Pittsburgh, LA. Its looking like we may have to add the NYI to the list of teams where tanking in the right years works. -

They talk about the 2015 draft being equal, if not better, to the 2003 draft. In my mind there is no way they trade away either of these picks - even if they are non-lottery.
