More from Eichel like he just displayed on the PK. He looked possessed. Show the leadership kid.

It was coming... this season ending in no playoffs I am sure is helping seal the deal. Time for a new era in Vancouver. I wish I got to see more of them but Canucks games are hard time come by without a lot of extra effort (or expense).

This is what bugs me about fans, but especially Canadian fans... and ESPECIALLY Leaf fans. I give full credit to Canadians for being passionate about hockey. It's their culture. But along with that credit I expect them to be more polished and refined in their critiques and not such blatant homers. Demonstrate that you understand the game and respect the players. You can root for your team but don't be stupid. I suppose I give the Canadian hockey fans too much credit (I don't mean the ones who root for the team in Montreal). Leaf fans who participated in what you are referring to are complete idiots. Eichel - 63GP, 25G, 37A, 62 points Matthews - 59GP, 31G, 26A, 57 points They are completely comparable. The fact that Eichel accounts for such a massive part of the Sabres offense only shows the level of improvement needed elsewhere in the lineup by Buffalo. It is a great rivalry to watch. Perhaps because the Sabres are in the basement the Leaf fans don't give it an overall respect, but they should. Their team keeps losing to the Sabres. I don't like Kadri... but I don't want any player getting injured like that.

Will the app track everywhere I go and mine the data from my emails and text messages? How long until we have a #DeleteSS event? After that great announcement I am thinking this place is a Cambridge Analytica front.

Okay. Game over. Great win. Now onto what’s important... hoping Antipin is okay. That’s really all that matters.
-
Hartnell and Toronto gave the Sabres something to play for... Now...about 37.. it’s time.
-
Yeah. I was incorrect. Not sure why I thought that... but it’s 4/6.
-
It is? Hmm I did not think that was true. I’ll have to look into that.
-
It counts as a single PP. So that’s 3 goals,1 PP. But remember, a 5 second power play also counts as a PP opportunity.
-
That’s how you answer that kind of crap play. I WISH Nolan was playing. He’d be the right candidate for taking out a player. I’d say Falk but they’re down a D already. I might be more mellow but that goalie interference call has me burning. He’s sitting on his glove! Oh..and tequila.
-
Thankfully that’s not the worst collision. His head was up so thats good news. We see things like that in the game, my guess is that it’s the fact that his head is turned and the impact causes a concussion and neck injury. They had his hands constrained which isn’t great and hopefully just precaution. That said..Buffalos season ends next week... Nashville is playing with fire because a retribution play could impair their playoff run.
-
I love Nashville for what they do doing the replay. But that’s total horseshit call. I’m running Rinne for the rest of the night.

Most nights I wish the MSG sound was out. Some of the worst sound production I’ve ever heard. Terrible on TV, terrible on the radio. They have no idea how to mix the sounds from the ambient microphones and the announcer microphones.
-
Talk about bounces... I’m here.. Hornitos Anejo in hand.... I’ve got a 1L bottle and 2 periods to go. Yeehaw.
-
I expect tonight's game to go like the last one against the Predators.
-
There's a chance. I'm trying to recall when the last roster update usually occurs but I want to say it's just before the playoffs.

Facts get in the way of narratives. Stop getting in the way. :wallbash:

You literally find the negative in everything. You know what? You have point? You know what else? I don't even remotely pretend to care. You are the seagull of this board.

The only player brought in this year that is intended to be part of the long term future of this team is Scandella. Beaulieu was an acceptable 2 year contract to fill what appeared to be a lack of D depth. Nolan, Josefson, Pouliot are all here on 1 year contracts so the younger players can stay in Rochester to develop. That was always the strategy. See above. But you are missing on Scandella and Pouliot was a quality signing for 1 year for the money he commanded. I'm not sure you get it. There is no heat on Botterill right now. There will be next year if the team plays the same way. You assume Mittlestadt should be in the AHL after watching a single game? Are you choosing to disregard any possibility that he wasn't going to sign with Buffalo unless he was signed to an ELC and played in Buffalo this year? Even if that's not the case, Botterill wanted him in Buffalo for this year. The first year of his ELC is not all that important and I am not sure why you believe it is. Mittlestadt is under Sabre control for as long as it will take them to figure out how important he will be to the team. When his contracts end won't matter because a player will get their pay day when they deserve it. Fandom must be really tough when you completely disregard reality just to find a reason to complain about things.

There's nothing not awesome about any of this. I love that the beer league guys stopped to watch him play... even the ref is in the picture.

Just saying you are defending the stats aspect as its what you do. I'm not sure it makes a difference that you aren't a nutjob stats guy. :)
-
I understand the need to defend what you do. However, you can only predict the probability of possibilities based on past information and only in rare circumstances do the factors of the past remain static. Therefore, future prognostications can be impacted by unforeseen variations in factors not accounted for in a model. Of course this should be obvious and is why statistics isn't a bulletproof science. It's just based on a lot more information than "How do you FEEEEEEL about it?" I'm not insinuating that you would feel otherwise and that you wouldn't acknowledge what I said, just saying it because of the second point you made. As for the second part, I understand again. People who read the phrase "most likely" and then choose to attack someone for when it doesn't happen are showing their ignorance by discounting the fact that the person stating "most likely" has already acknowledged that it might also NOT happen. But of course in our society today it's easier to attack the most inconsequential aspect of a persons statement than actually think.

Mittelstadt Signed ELC with Sabres reports directly to Buffalo

You've already moved MIttlestadt from center? What regression told you that would happen? :P I like these.. especially the first and if Third Reich didn't refer to what it referred to and instead some glorious moment of German history I think it would be the hands down winner. Unfortunately it does not. Pretty sure if I can't be as creative at this point... -
Good lord. Now we're arguing just to argue. At what point do you realize that you can either accept what the probabilities of a shooting percentage will be or you can accept what the possibilities of a shooting percentage will be? Probably won't be 23.3% Possibly could be 23.3% No one can prove anything until he has another season and there is a number to discuss. Every statistical nerd has been proven incorrect by an improbable outcome. Every statistical naysayer has been proven incorrect by an impossible prediction. These things happen.
