  1. Like the Bills should have with 13 seconds left.
  2. I was trying to post faster than @brawndo and it is hard
  3. Buchnevich would be another player traded on the cheap who is good. Looking around there is maybe 1-2 of these a summer so you can get lucky, I just think it is a hard ask.
  4. Bennett is an outlier and they are hard to find. We found one in Tage but typically 24 and 25 years don't suddenly produce on those tiers. That said, you are 100% right and if such a deal as that presented itself, I would be in favor of it. I think those deals are exceedingly difficult to find.
  5. Not sure I agree with you on this. At what point does a protestor's right to protest and my right's to move about my city freely overlap?
  6. I am all for supplements as long as we are exceedingly careful in how we acquire them.
  7. What did it take the Sabres to Acquire ROR, Kane, and Bogo (so two top 9 forwards and 1 top 6 defender)? ROR: Zadorov, Grigorenko, Compher, 2nd round pick 2022 equivalent: Samuelsson, Poltapov, Quinn? Nadeau maybe instead, 2nd Kane + BOGO: Lemieux, Armia, Stafford, Myers, and a 1st 2022 equivalent: Rosen, Peterka, Olofsson, Jokiharju? Ryan Johnson?, and a 1st Do I think it is worth doing that even if we get players without all the baggage... not at this time. Next year maybe and we could get lucky and Adams could find a Skinner like deal this summer and that is what he should look for. I don't have a problem with getting better but with the cost that ppl seem to not be discussing when you trade for an impact player in todays NHL.
  8. Yes it is. You want to trade draft picks and young assets (you may try to hide this part but the old assets aren't worth anything). That's a bad way to build a team. If I though we could trade Vegas' first for a player under 23 that has top 6 potential I would do it, the issue is and everyone on here seems to ignore it repeatedly for some reason, is that the cost isn't just that 1st round pick. You are talking a top prospect like JJ Peterka, that 1st, plus something else to acquire that player. I don't think that is worth it considering where this team is in its rebuild cycle.
  9. I mean this is something you could say. ROR was on the team for 2015/16, 2016/17, and 2017/18 seasons. 2016: 81pts 2017: 78pts 2018: 62pts last year of ROR 2019: 76pts 2020: 68pts I mean... if that says "considerably better the year he left" then I guess so. We just have to ignore the other years and context but sure we can say that. Odd though that 2 of 3 years were better than the best year since ROR left. It is just crazy to waltz around here saying the Conn Smythe, Stanley Cup, Norris Selke Winning ROR doesn't make a difference to a team. That's bonkers and I don't even like ROR. I don't have a narrative. And now I will only respond to you in Gif form just like @PerreaultForever
  10. Trading assets to accelerate a rebuild is a vastly different approach from draft and develop.
  11. It's a pretty bold statement to yell into the internet that the Stanley Cup winning and Conn Smythe winning ROR doesn't make a difference.
  12. I guess if they're worried about Knight for a cup run. Not sure what we would get from them
  13. Actually not my dream but it was nice. FC rankings are bad so hard to mock
  14. slide that MOFO. Get him off of the Power timeline... and Krebs, and Mitts, and Dahlin. Yea don't need Quinn in that same offseason.
  15. His contract can still slide as well if I am not mistaken.
  16. As noted previously, adding two young impact players in 1 offseason would be difficult without giving up lots of assets. UFA might yield a single player but that's a gamble and trades will involve multiple pieces. Is Rosen, Vegas 2022 1st, and say Jankowski worth it to acquire a Toffoli?
  17. On wgr this morning Hamilton mentioned he thought Quinn was about 2 weeks away. I bet they are erring on the side of caution.
