I think Savoie or Cooley are the only two players that are in that conversation. Slafskovsky will get an Olympics bump but it won't be enough to be in the top 3 I don't think. Ftr, I don't think anyone should be in the conversation except for Wright.

This is so predictably the response after a loss now. I'm suggesting maybe taking a step back because... And this is very much the reality. I'm on record as saying I think this team finishes 22nd and misses the playoffs next year.

It's nicer than flip flopping from "we're on the right path! Playoffs next year" to "no effort losers! Losing mindset! Granato sucks!" I mean they are a bottom 10 team that has holes and talent issues still. Even top 10 teams toss out stinkers, doesn't mean the sky is falling. Last night they sucked, I'd expect maybe against Colorado they are a little cleaner in their execution.

And I'm saying you're not getting a star like Zetterberg in the 7th anymore. When's the last star level 1st line forward in the 7th round? How often does that happen? 1 7th round pick every 2 years? 5 years? 10 years? My point is sure anything can happen but it's so unlikely that we shouldn't even bother thinking about it.
