I loved CoHo's goal shorthanded tonight against the Canes. I think I rather have him than Kassian any time, his stats are way better than kassian too.
Funny you should say this because
To make today a little less dreary after that loss I will pull 2 quotes from this:
"- I then realize that Cody beat all five guys on the ice, plus the goalie. I then stare out my window, reflecting on life.
- Just when I think I’ve recovered I notice Ehrhoff hugging Cody. I then look at the Canucks powerplay this year. I then begin to sigh deeply."
Some blogger in Vancouver thinks we have a good PP... bahahahahaha. I will say we have a good penalty kill though and CoHo's goal was a thing of beauty.

I hated Staffords contract when he signed it and I hate it more now. He isn't payed 4mil to be our defensive minded RW who shuts other teams down, hes paid to score goals.

Isn't that the one that is titled "Kaleta's hit on Richards"?
ouch harsh

I've got 1, only worn once, that I might be willing to part with. What's it worth to you?
If I had known it would have been worth a few bucks but they can't cancel my order because "a few of the other items you have ordered are in stock so it has been partially processed. Our system does not currently allow the cancellation of parts of orders after they have been processed."
grrr. Thanks though.

Ordered the Buffalo Sabres green shamrock shirt so I can represent my team (even if they suck) when I head to Savannah in a couple weeks for St. Pat's Day.
just got an email... "We are sorry the item is currently back-ordered and will be shipped once we receive it"
All I freaking wanted was my green sabres shirt but nooooo the nhl has to suck. Now I probably wont get it in time for St. Pat's which was the entire purpose of getting the damn thing!!!!
I'm getting my shovel...

that was pretty cool. still loving this series

Argh, more f*cking idiots making extra work for me... stupid purchasing dept guy tells me 5 min. ago he needs documentation TODAY on several items. I have them mostly together already because I'm going to be out next week, but I need my boss to sign them before I can send over and he's in clinic seeing patients most of the day. I'm reminded of the phrase "A failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine!" Argh.
pimp slap the purchasing guy with a shovel.

Just finished Game of Thrones and have gotten into Clash of Kings. Should be finishing all 5 books at some point.

just learned my brother back in NY was asked for a divorce... on his b-day. My sister-in-law is so far in my shithouse that bitch isn't ever coming out. I feel the worst for my young niece. She deserves better.

I will give my full thoughts on Lindy Ruff tomorrow on @SabresHotline. For now, in short, it's too bad it came to that. #tough
I want to hear Andrew Peter's side/thoughts on Lindy Ruff.

Harry Neale is making some good points... motherf###er must be dividing by 0
Basically he said that they need to either make trades/moves to shore up the team for next season/end of this one or they need to make moves that they will pay off 3-4yrs from now.
Actually yes Harry you would be correct.

WGR is way better than most of the local sports talk I've heard around the country.
I have noticed this as well. I think it is because Buffalo in general is critical of its sports teams and as a result "usually" the sports shows are somewhat critical as well. Sylvester however I would say is less critical than Shoop and the Bulldog. Of course I could be wrong
That being said I love it when Petey is on. He is funny as hell.

omg the last caller just on was either drunk or mad... or both lmao

It's hard not to when a fellow fan says one of the best things about this season is a marketing video.
<_< thank you team storm cloud.
-
Yep, the Sabres sure can shovel it.
take it to another thread, every damn one doesn't need to be a bitch and moan party.

There have been a lot of negatives to this season thus far but I have to say this series is one of my favorite things. I love it. Beyond Blue n Gold is great.

Her father. We're still in that stage of shock since we just found out monday. None of us have any clue where to go with all the planning now. Do you postpone, do you move it up, do you not change a thing? I don't think there is a right answer here, but the whole thing is just going to be very difficult with that cloud hovering over us.
And in terms of this board, I have no clue what is going on in the NHL. I love the game, but at this point I don't have the time or the energy to keep up with whatever the "let's argue about this" topic of the day is.
I am sorry and I hope whatever decision you make in regards to your wedding that it turns out for the best.

Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Jake Owen at Sanford Stadium on April 13... should be awesome, will post picks after it ends if I remember. My buddy from Buffalo is going to join me in this endeavor.

we mixed pumpkin beers together this weekend to help kill the kegs left at the local bar...

To be expected with a call in show. To his credit, he knows how to handle it in a professional manner.
Right, my issue is though when he pulls the "well tell me who you would replace him with"
I hate that argument because it isn't an argument. It is just dumb.
O crap this guy just ask him what the problem is?
Sylvester's Answer "Lindy Ruff is a coworker of mine and I will not comment on a coworker of mine, I personally like the guy."
Basically the question is now are we talking coaches or chemistry? which issue is it?

With 8-9" of snow in a city like Athens, GA I can definitely understand it causing some major problems. They don't have the equipment and infrastructure to properly deal with a weather event like that.
It's the panic driven nonsense that can be avoided. About 7 or 8 years ago here in Raleigh they were calling for some snow, maybe an inch or two. So naturally everyone panicked and headed for home at around 1 or 2 in the afternoon. And I mean nearly everyone, and all at roughly the same time. What ensued was a traffic nightmare for the ages. All because of what ultimately amounted to under an inch of snowfall and people panicking. You see with the traffic jams all around and a little bit of snow falling on untreated roadways, that snow turned to ice very quickly with idling cars sitting still. People sat in their cars four hours, overnight in some cases, a lot of children never made it home from school on the bus that night and ended up staying in shelters. People I work with who left in the initial panic and got about a mile down the road in three hours, ended up coming back and sleeping at their desks. They told me that I was crazy when I headed out the door for home at 4:30, but I took the back roads, drove at a prudent speed and wouldn't you know it I actually made it home in an hour and a half.
So now, because of that event there is still plenty of pancic, but when snow is forecasted they just shut everything down before it even gets here. Idiots.
Yup thats the issue, they don't do anything to the roads and ppl cant drive. I drove through the front that came through last week and flooded I75 and parts of I285. Was it bad yes. But I slowed down put on my flashers and maintained speed. When I hydroplaned I let off the gas.
It just ammuses me every time we may have been weather my co workers ask me all these stupid questions. My favorite was when they said they lost power once for 2 whole days and they wondered if I was prepared for such an event... I was like let me tell you about the Thunderpocalypse or the October Storm that we had in Buffalo. 5 days no power and we were fine.
WHich brings me to my complaint. THe asshats in washington barely have signed or distributed any aid for ppl effected by Hurricane Sandy and one of the major opponents is a guy who is the congressman of Miss. Palazzo who was begging to get money for Katrina this past summer. Stewart perfectly framed what I believe 90% of this country is thinking.

The level of panic you see in NY can't come close to what happens here. I'm a little used to it now after being here for 10 years, but people truly go insane at just the hint of some bad winter weather heading our way.
OMG RIGHT!
We had 40% chance of freezing rain and they talked about closing campus. Co-workers discussed going to the store and getting 1 weeks worth of groceries and water. It is absolutely hilarious. They kept saying Beer, Eggs, Bread, and Milk you wont be able to get. I was like really people? really?
God forbid we get snow, they call 8" a snowpocalypse...

I've never tried it. Though I do love their Hopsecutioner.
Not a big fan but I don't like very hoppie beers. Its great when the weathers nicer being able to go out to Terrapin and try all their beers like Golden Ale and Liquid Bliss.
If you ever get a chance to pop the cork on a bottle of Unibroue "Terrible", do it. Unibroue makes some great winter beers beyond La Fin du Monde.
I will have to try it, the local bottle shop has a great selection so I shall check with them, thxs! What is the flavor like?

2 goals aside I don't think Sulzer has been all that good lately.
I'd start Scott on defense over Leopold right now let alone Sulzer.
I really loved the talk about how good MIke Weber is. I keep saying that and have been saying that for over a year. Kid has heart and he was 2nd rounder, he isnt some lucky late pick but a guy who had a good ceiling and is playing up to or above it. His simple game is getting it done and his no holds barred physicality is great.
Here is a question: Ever see Miler get hit/bumped/run with Mike Weber on the ice... NO because Weber would immediately drop gloves and win or lose he would fight anyone. Look what he did after the gerbe hit. If we had a couple more MIke Webers this team would be a lot better.

agreed X (insert imaginary number that is ginormous)
Fun Cody Facts:
Is 2nd on the Sabres in Goals 10, and pts 21.
Is tied for 17th in Goals and is tied for 24th in pts in the entire NHL
If this trend continues I do believe we may have a #1 center amongst us. Of course he still has a lot to prove and a long way to go but there is hope as we reach the halfway mark of a crappy season.
