Clearly I shouldn't doubt them, ever. I still doubt that defense though.

What a win. Josh Allen really saves their butts and managed to pull it out. Amazing win.

He lost JJP.
He’d lose Benson and Doan. He’s garbage.
Exactly, so how could Jarmo Kekalainen be any worse?

Buffalo's defense and offense are not playoff caliber.
Well... hmm. Okay, keep going.

Only if he completely strong-arms the RFAs and mangles their relations, then fails to get a goalie. But if he nurtures the toughness of Doan and Benson and finds a real coaching staff…
Isn't that what Adams did?

Yup. What's he gonna do? Trade everyone for nothing and we'll just miss playoffs and be more boring?

I know I’m in the minority here but I’m not sold on Jarmo, tell me again what he accomplished in Columbus?
I think the Sabres organization needs to fire the entire front office including the coaching staff, the entire scouting department and the strength and conditioning staff. All need to go and spend some money Terry and hire the best of the best.
How can Jarmo be worse than Adams?

I need to understand why replay assist isn't being used here ? Why do bills have to challenge ?
Cuz we're in NE.

Most of their current team is because of him. Signed Gudreau.

The Bills defense is bottom 5 bad. The only thing keeping this team playoff relevant is a weak schedule and Josh Allen. Beane built a brown bag filled with poop.

The D is never dominant. It’s like watching college football. Let them walk down the field so we can get the ball back after they score
NE just march down the field at will against Buffalo.
Should watch some Georgia football.

As a thought experiment, what would a Sabres trade for Hughes have looked like? Power or Byram, Tuch (assuming he signs long term with Canucks), Rosen, Östlund or Helenius and unprotected #1, assuming Hughes signs long term with Sabres. Would you be pro or con for something along those lines?
That's so much more than Vancouver just got.
Power and Byram are more established than Buium. Tuch I guess is the Rossi comparable. The 3 prospects are at or better than Ohgren. And finally you give up an unprotected 1st on the worst team in the east, all for a guy you don't even need. Cons are you're years away from contending and just trading a bunch of stuff for a 5'10" lhd who plays the same roll as Dahlin.
The pros are... you made changes? Hughes is pretty good offensively?

In order to fix the culture you need to burn the front office and start over, that includes the coaching.

... how many lhd do we need? Adams need to gtfo, he's just collecting things hoping it might work. He's got no imagination and no ideas of his own.

So... gonna guess Norris won't play and they want a center.

I would love it. He is a face of losing. Dahlin would be happy, and the Sabres could jump start a reset. They just don't have enough good players.
If the Sabres are on Power's timeline now, it makes even more sense.
Lmfao. Power has never even come with a tier of Dahlin. We're not on any timeline involving him.

Tell me, do other fan bases dream of getting Rasmus Dahlin?
Crusade on.

Is Hughes as good as Dahlin (or better or worse?)
How would everyone feel if Buffalo had a new GM and traded Dahlin for that return?
I don't like the return. Rossi is good. Ohgren, Buium, and a 2026 1st are all mystery boxes.
If you're trading Dahlin, I need something like 2026 1st, Sam Dickinson, Will Smith. Igor Chernysov. Some will be mad I'm not saying more established players but that's never how these trades work.

Buium should have done another year of college. Ohgren surprises me a little, I liked him more than Östlund. Looks like I got that one wrong.

Unless they win a cup. Then why would they care?

That's four 1st round picks. It's a pretty steep price. Certainly could work well for both teams.
